Drove my truck today ( around 40 miles ) and when I got back into my neighborhood my brake pedal got extremely hard to push down. Almost wrecked. I was able to get it home and park in the driveway. I checked the brake fluid, hoses going to the booster and the vacuum pump and all were connected and I didn’t see any leakage. I checked my brake pads with the wheels still on so as best I could and they seem fine. ( had new brakes out on less then a year ago).

I’m leaning towards the vacuum pump being bad but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas what this could be. TIA

I did try the “push brake all the way down and then start the vehicle but it still stayed hard”

Any recommendations on a good company to get a reliable motor?
