
Security screws, and bloated batteries; what 2 do?
So.. title explains most of it
I used a small regular screwdriver and got most of the battery screws out; the screwdriver was stripped and it stripped the remaining (2?) screws a bit. (Or rather, I stripped the screws after breaking the screwdriver.)
I can't find a rubber band; any computer-repair heavies have any tips? Calling in the big guns for this small issue
My bank account is negative, and I can't understand why they would put a battery inside a laptop, with security screws (batteries often, are the first thing to go, in my exp..)
So, that's the low-down. This is a rather old Dell; it has a dual Linux setup that works on safe boot (rEFInd) and that took ages for a novice computer nerd. Thanks for input and advice! Sarcasm and snide comments appreciated!
