Looking to buy Subnautica on my Switch 2 because it’s on sale. Hypothetically, if I wanted to be able to loan the virtual game card to my wife to play Subnautica on her Switch OLED, would I need to buy the switch 1 version of Subnautica and then use the free upgrade to play the Switch 2 version on my Switch 2 or could I just buy the Switch 2 version on my switch 2 and then share that game card to my wife’s Switch OLED? Sorry if it’s a silly question!

TL;DR Can you virtual game card share switch 2 versions of a game backwards to Switch OLED as long as it is not a Switch 2 exclusive?
