So that's like speedrunning 50+ chaps of past developments in new waysa and in like 30 chaps and then potentially some callbacks to the turning points of the 2 longer arcs.

And no, it's not just lazily redoing old stuff... They've all been brought back up in new contexts and not even in the exact same order of events too. And there's been some inversions that really highlight the growth of characters too.

Some parallels that we have yet to see:

• Momo gaining powers right after Okarun was cursed and became a monster for her
• The post-nessie talk about misunderstandings and feelings
• A moment in which Momo thinks Okarun is about to die and she rushes over to try to save him (though I guess this sorta kinda happened with Jiji?)
• Seiko showing up to kick ass and finish a fight (Yatagarasu is close enough I guess)
• ...?

When talking about this current amnesia arc, someone really said "I just hate that we won't see Momo experience a glimpse of actual happiness again until close to the end of the story, if at all."

and "Each of the last three major arcs (Danmara, Mini Momo, Amnesia), have focused on her extensive suffering. Danmara and Mini Momo had her helpless and in tears at the end of each of them, so I could easily see that continue with this arc."

I find this odd because Momo's characterized as a tough girl who experiences hardship but still finds a way to bounce back and find something to be grateful for and be positive about.

I couldn't reply to the comments that were made above because the post got locked, so I decided to just make it into a post and share that Momo is not to be made into some brittle anhedonic sad girl because of the trials she's been through and is still undergoing. Even being in tough or unfortunate situations, she has moments where she can still enjoy herself or her surroundings and stay optimistic.

And it's true that amnesia Momo has been going through the ringer lately (as to be expected being thrust into a chaotic world and having no recollection of any of it and being forced to play catchup with every new interaction), but I imagine that in the aftermath of this amusement park arc and experiencing fighting with everyone side by side, she'll be brought a lot closer to everyone and she can be happy with what she's got again. That's just how Momo rolls.

So many different types of battles on different fronts happening all at once and then Okarun's awakening is the wildcard to potentially shake everything up.

Kinda similar setup to what happened in Danmara (but even more crazier), and yet that wasn't even the final climax battle of that area... I wonder what else could be in store for this Amusement park fight.

I've always assumed the plan was to turn Vlad into the Ultimate Yokai and I thought Vlad would be conscious of the matter. But we've seen Yokai granted from the Kozuka knives completely take over Vlad's own daughter.

If this same sort of thing happens to Vlad then he would have multiple Yokai taking over his body. Which one would be the actual one controlling him at that point? Would they fuse to make an entirely new being in general? Is that what the actual Ultimate Yokai would be instead of some elite noble dude with a bunch of different powers?

he can control gravity, blast you away with the umbrellas, grab you with an invisible hand (idk if he can restrict yokai abilities tho like momo could), overwhelm you with hundreds and millions of flies, and you can't even properly hit him cuz he's made of smoke. what sort of cruel joke is this 💀

Assuming Okarun doesn't just go straight into a rage mode and/or he calms down and is able to control his new Ogre form, what sort of personality do you think he'll have?

Or rather, what sort personality would you want him to have?

Turning into Turbokarun would normally render him depressive and pessimistic yet bold and pretty suave. So, I guess the natural thought would be that he'd be some sort of inversion of that but ehhh... I feel like there's plenty of other options.

What if becoming an Ogre was specifically because of the Pinocchio curse and therefore he turns into some sorta chronic liar when he transforms or something lol idk

After reading chap 244 and seeing how Okarun reacted to Hase getting knocked away from Momo (he didnt react and wasnt even looking that direction anymore as if he was completely lost in rage) I had this feeling that Okarun legitimately snapped and something has internally awoken within him after he had the thought of "I'll kill him!" course through his mind.

I immediately thought back to Chapter 1 of the manga where Okarun told the Serpo to not lay a hand on Momo and that he'd become a monster for Momo if it's for her sake.

There's been quite a few callbacks to the early chapters throughout this amnesia arc, hell, even Hase being here and his actions are a callback in itself.

But anyways, I figured Okarun transforming into some sort of ferocious monster at this point could be some sort of callback to what he said in Chapter 1.

It was at this time that I looked up if anyone had any previous idea similar to this, and this legend had already sniffed out this idea like 4 months ago. Would recommend checking that post out, very interesting.

But I tried to make a specific crackhead theory on how and why things have played out to this point which is the point of this post:

What if Shinobi in fact impersonated Manjiro and was the one who handed over the Ogre club to Okarun and spoke of it as if it was a protective talisman but in reality it was some sort of dangerous cursed object that Okarun kept dumping spiritual power into to unknowingly strengthen/intrinsically bond with slowly over time which Germaine planned from the beginning?

What if Germaine knew that Turbo granny powers were no longer in Okarun but he fed a lie to the Delacroix Family anyways because he knew they'd want to take the glory from him and would show up and attack Okarun and push him to the very limits and unknowingly force some sort of awakening either within himself or from the Ogre club itself?

What if the Ogre club's true function is to do exactly what it's called and it transforms Okarun into some sort of Ogre since he's gone ballistic with rage and bloodlust because of Hase's actions (its the first time he's wanted to directly kill another human being--his classmate at that) and the Ogre club itself transforms into a new form too? And what if the spiritual power he's dumped into it prior has really amped his potential strength up like crazy when he and/or it transforms? (Also, apparently there's folklore about how living people, especially warriors, consumed by intense hatred or malice can manifest horns and monstrous strength and transform into Oni so it'd still be up Dandadan's folklore and occult alley.)

What if Ogre-un starts going absolutely Berserk and attacks everything and everybody kinda like how Evil Eye did when he first showed up? Or at least he just goes bat shit on crazy on Hase to the point that someone needs to stop him, possibly Momo?

What if this eventually becomes Okarun's new power he gets for himself?

I'm ngl the trail runs dry here. I dont know why this would be the goal if this was Germaine's plan.

Also, when next chap comes out, there's prolly like a 1% chance of this happening and like a 99% chance that Okarun acts perfectly normal as always and im looking far too deeply into the panel of him not reacting to Hase getting shot buuuut as a wise man once said,

"that's just a theory,"

Hase got knocked away from Momo and Okarun didn't even flinch 😳 that boi is PISSED pissed...

the "I'll kill him" in total darkness makes me think some sorta deeply internal thing within him is being awoken and could lead to a ragemode of sorts surfacing here real soon. Something that maybe only Momo will be able to snap him out of.

The question of what that rage mode would be or look like... Idk. Maybe he turns into a literal Ogre or something haha.

I lean towards the idea of some sort of monster in general, since there's been so many callbacks to earlier chapters and if Okarun did transform into a monster of sorts then it would callback to how Okarun said he'd turn into a monster for Momo's sake if someone tried to lay a hand on her in chapter 1.

I know Im talking to the loud minority, but I've seen some people say that there's so much "random stuff" happening.

What exactly is random?

By now, we have learned that Vlad's family is struggling and so he hired CSG who proposed to utilize the Fairy Tale Card 6 curses which will power up Vlad and supposedly return the Delacroix family to a more respectable status--and to do so involves meddling in the lives of the Dandacrew who's powers are necessary components.

Every single fight and interaction the crew has dealt with ever since the end of Danmara has been for this basis.

At first they used indirect means by contracting out the Kozuka knives and abilities to regular people in desperate situations which was the Kozuka Knives arc, and then more aggressive means with actual assassins/mercenaries with Shimane, and then now the actual members of the Delacroix family itself have shown up at this Amusement Park.

It has gradually escalated this whole time. Tell me what is random about any of that?

I've also seen some say there's no proactivity from the main crew.

What do you expect the crew to do?

They just barely squeezed by Shimane and the end of Kozuka knives. They didn't learn any immediately useful sort of new information so what is there for them to be proactive towards? They have absolutely 0 leads on how to start anything or fix anything with Momo's amnesia, nor do they know who their enemy is. The ones who know actual info about stuff is Seiko and Turbo Granny, who are currently on the way back right now.

Seiko's gots tons of info on who their actual enemies are, and Okarun and Aira have now made direct contact with the enemy directly and heard what their objective is too but havent had time to regroup and discuss things with everyone since they're still obviously in a hostile enviroment. So naturally, Seiko will be the one to properly guide them as usual when she returns and when they all regroup.

Matter of fact, that's not anything new either. If Seiko wasn't around for Tiny Momo then they would have had 0 clue on what to do and where to start for curing Momo. Even all the way back during Turbo Granny arc, Seiko was the one guiding them on how to proceed next in their circumstances.

So naturally, when Seiko's guidance is out of the picture, these kids would be at their most vulnerable to be preyed upon by the unempathetic adult nobles meddling with the lives of regular people and children from the shadows.

So till Seiko returns, their objective has essentially just been to survive. And before the objective was to survive, it was to return to regular daily life for Momo's sake. But clearly, that got interrupted, as per the Delacroix family (and as usual).

So everything makes sense as to how and why it's happening. What is random and directionless?

side note; all of that is talking about the battle shonen side, there's already plenty of proactivity taking place romance-wise. I mean, we literally got a rejection this arc. We literally got a moment where all 4 love interests are standing in the same spot openly talking about relationship pairings. The ramifications after we leave this area are already so got dam high regarding the romance. This is supposed to be labeled as directionless and random??

bro has taught me so many random historical peoples this arc--some that have done some HEINOUS ahh crimes against humanity and children fr gah dam.

i think it's also very fitting that he puts those heinous peoples names into villains that are made up of rich noble classist elites. plenty of subtext there eh. i might make that into another post in itself later.
