If he was really that strong and good then let me ask you mujin glazers, where was he when Jinyoung panel was shown remembering the strongest fighters of his gen?

The fact that Sintaro took the first punch from tui shingen to the ground and in the next panel shown not just to being instantly recovered but also dodging two of tui shingen's attacks back to back then getting his bones broken then taking another punch to the ground then a elbow hit and still being alive is crazy.

Seeing these feats, it won't be wrong to say yamazakis would've won the fight if Shintaro would've went to fight with them on the day of war instead of staying behind

Just like Seongji no matter how shitty or outdated his feat is, as long as his narrative exist, paechoen Driders will continue to glaze him and put above top pre gen fighters. People like paechoen jo because he is well written just like soengji but now his character has the same problem as seongji, his stans glaze him way too much.

Acc to his stans

1)Paechoen jo speed blitz any pre gen fighter just because he speed blitz an not serious holding back goo
2)He kills almost any fighter just because he has hwarang sword when he can't even cut down goo's body parts
3)Paechoen jo has one of the best endurance even when he almost blanked out by low hp jake
4)Paechoen jo, who base kitae called weak af for losing to imperfect path daniel not only is equal to prime shingen in endurance but also is equal to his level

And not just them, I have seen some people say "he might not be equal to prime shigen but is in the same tier"

He was a very strong fighter for his time when he got introduced but people should understand he got powercreeped by new feats of fist gang members and new strong pre gen fighters

The extra thing in IA (the blind spot hit) always felt completely pointless and useless in contributing to IA as a speical ability because what IA ability can do, same thing can be done by normal speed mastery.

In speed mastery, if you're faster than your opponent then your attack will look invisible to your opponent and you can continue to hit your opponent before he even reacts

If you're speed is same as your opponent, you won't be able to get those speed benefits and have to rely on other elemets of fighting.

If you're slower than your opponent then your opponent will speed blitz you and give you a hard time (basically all the speed advantages)

And what funny is same thing can be said for IA, if you're faster your attack will look invisible and you can speed blitz your opponent but if your speed is the same as your opponent then your IA won't work on him and if your speed is slower then your IA is as useless against a faster opponent

Hear me out,

We saw how even a nerfed old tom can push peak james to mid diff and old gap fought two hand old tom so scaling wise old gap~old tom both hands>one hand old tom damaged.

So in this, I'm interested on how does james even do anything to old gap in the fight because the powerscaling gap seem too big and given that the james who killed old gap was even younger and weaker than the one who fought seongji, so technically it shouldn't make sense for that young james to be able to do anything to old gap, given the power gap and how well old tom performed against a peak version of james.

But this gets contradicted by all the narratives that james killed old gap so for all this to be a thing, james at least have to play a decent role in the fight if not a big one so I wounder how ptj will balance all this.

I do think PTJ will retcon something about this when he finally show gap vs gitae and james fight

Lookism characters have shown defy dying logic so many times so do you think mandeok might live this?

Eli and samuel were nothing other than the coworkers but by the end of arc their relationship and respect build up and it was written so well unlike nowdays where ptj takes 1-2 chapters to make a character well written, back then ptj used to do it slowly and progressively which is why it was much satisfactory to read the progress. this kind of development is missing in gap arc.

The power up feels numb in case of gap's growing stronger because there is no great motive or emotion attached to it to give it a stronger foundation, it's just I'm losing, use overcome for no reason other than I want to win so I will get stronger.

One of the biggest numb factor about gap's arc is that there no emotion and lack of screen time for the problem they have been dealing with which makes anything they ahcieve feel numb. Unlike gap's arc, 1st gen king arc shows this perfectly with eli.

Another bad habit of ptj nowdays is his saving alot of things for later, for example gap's character isn't as simple as that, we saw when he talked jinyoung, he likely had some history and he was hiding something but ptj being ptj will rather make a character boring instead of using some of his history already to add some emotion to it.

Ik, gap arc hasn't ended but so far gap arc is dry overall

If you go check the fight, in his red mode, tom landed 3-4 hits in total before landing his ultimate king unique skill and out of these 3-4 hits, the only time tom used his right hand (which is still working and didn't got cut) to grab and slam james against the wall other than that, the rest of the time tom was using his left no hand body part to hit james lee that's why james seem so no-damaged by a 3-4 combo of tom hits compared to those two hits tom landed in his base form.

(now the reason why I think tom started using his left no hand body part instead of using his proper working right hand is likely due to his muscle memory. At this point tom isn't fighting like a smart biq fighter, here he is fighting with everything he has got and in pre gen arc we have seen how much tom uses his left hand comapred to his right hand, so when old tom tapped to trying to go back to his wild mode like his prime era times where he just go kill, that kind of fighting style must have made him use his left no hand due to the muscle memory)

now imagine how much old tom's damage was nerfed if a thumb can take out the entire strength of the hand then what damage nerf will no hand body part will do

The so called "Elite" who knows yamazakis for a while says the main problem are the number of yamazaki fodders, not kenzo and the executive when we all know how badly kenzo want to avenge his son so badly, how arrogant and crazy he is. later on those fodders who elite was so worried about literally gave up and all it took was to defeat kenzo to take back seoul, so all that planning and ploting was for nothing.
