2 months in Athens – looking for advices
Hello everyone!
I'm considering spending about two months in Athens this summer and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I started looking for affordable places where I could enjoy city life, and somehow Athens came into my mind although I never been there before.
I have a few questions:
- Is Athens a good city for a solo female traveler staying for 2 months? - I am open if you recommend any other city 😊
- How easy is it to meet people and make friends? I'm interested in cafés, bars, local events, language exchanges, and just generally social places where it's easy to talk to people (and if possible keep being friends for at least 2 months :)). - or any advice for me that I could easily meet people, like any course, or a regular activity specific to Athens?
- What would you say is a realistic monthly budget (excluding rent)? I don't live luxuriously, but I do enjoy going out for a beer or dinner a couple of times a week.
I'd really appreciate any advice, recommendations, or things I should know before booking.
Thank you!
