Kubota B5200 question.

Good Afternoon. Have an opportunity to buy 91 kubota B5200 4wd with 1K hours for $6K It's clean garage kept and I know the owner. It has front and rear hydraulics installed. My guess front hydraulics are an add on kit. Comes with bunch of attachments except the one I need, a front loader bucket. So questions are:

  1. Obvious one is it even possible to find OEM or aftermarket front bucket for it?
  2. Is 13 HP good enough for 2.5 acres of tilling mowing front bucket loading mulch stone etc.
  3. Do those front hydro retrofit kits have a tilt function for bucket or is going to be an even further retrofit to get a bucket on it.
  4. What is the ballpark cost for bucket and fitting if fitting is required.
  5. Are there backhoe attachments that can be fitted to it and how hard are those to find?
  6. How painful is mowing and general usage with a gear shift?

Thanks a lot for your help. Not well versed in tractors and not at all on older ones. All I know that 1K hours on an engine is nothing and that peaks my interest for the price.

Bait Fishing for predatory fish

I'm in US and not too big on lures. Does anyone here fishes for pike, walleye, bass with bait off the bank with any degree of consistency? What baits and rigs do you use for each?

Thanks a bunch.

Leads as part of the rig instead of main line?

Is it appropriate or advisable to put leads on a rig vs main line? My rods are sort of multifunction where I can go and fish salt and freshwater with so different setups in terms of tackle. What I have now is 30 pound braid double uni knot tied to it is about 30 yards of 40 pound mono as a shockleader and a snap swivel. Now if I want to do an inline rig or clip lead rig of some sort can I tie that lead on a length of leadcore 2-3 feet loop at the end and attach that to snap swivel or is it generically bad idea?

What tackle for scientific UK style fishing.

I'm originally from Ukraine SSR now live in US so my carp fishing rig is limited to what I've used in country of birth as in spring feeders with hooks buried inside or simple corn dough on a hook. Trying to expand my horizons and get into more of UK style of fishing of boilies method feeders various intricate rigs. So two fold question.

  1. What are good resources describing how to's of tying UK style rigs in detail
  2. What starter tackle components should I be buying? Big carp tackle has hundreds of pages in their catalog 😄.

Thank you in advance

Off the ground vs bottomless garden beds.

So this summers project is to build a variation of April Wilkerson design garden beds. Primary factor for wanting this, is ease of use plus integrated fencing and they can be free standing. Question is for those with off the ground beds do you constantly wish that you've never went that route and gardened in bottomless beds? My native soil is free enough from pollutants where I don't have to worry much about toxicity or carcinogens migrating into the bed so it really boils down to a)aesthetics, b) modularity c) my quality of life and d) quality of life of plants I'm trying to grow :).

Hello. I'm decent around power tools but really stink at visualizing and architectural design. So hoping this sub can point me in the right direction. Have a hoop style car port that I would like to convert to green house preferably something with poly carb panels vs plastic sheeting for durability and looks. Drawing a total blank on where to start what materials to get for framing and where to get them. By looks of it I have a purlin and middle structural beams but where to go from there? Thanks a lot for your help.

Zone 7 SE PA. Getting ready to white wash my March planted bare root fruit trees(peaches, pears, apples, cherries, plums, appricots), pair of each.

My memory of old country recipe is spotty at best so just want to get your confirmation before I burn them :).

  1. For main course: plan is to use 1 cup hydrated lime and to 8 cups of warm water mix well let it stay overnight. does it sound about right?
Also what's approximate quantity to mix for 12 bare roots cut down to about 30 inches?
  2. For desert: Old country I remember we added copper sulfate to the mix, can't seem to find agri copper sulfate can't remember how much of it we used.
Question is where do I get it? What brand? and what proportion of it to use. ie 1part lime half part copper 8 parts water etc...
Also I have Bonide gold cup (captain jacks copper concentrate fungicide) can I substitute that and drop it in whatever recommended dose on the label per gallon into the mix?

Any other tips tricks things I need to do for the first summer with those trees? I've dropped soil test based, extension recommended amendments around drip line few weeks after I planted them. They are mulched caged pruned to height and sleeved Picture for reference.

Thanks a lot.
