Kubota B2601 shuts off when I lean to the left

(77YO grandma here.)
We thought it could be the sensors as I tend to lean when mowing in one of the hilly fields.
I bought new sensors for under the seat today and my grandson installed them. Unfortunately, that was not the problem.
The motor does not sputter it just shuts down as if a kill switch was hit. Hoping someone has an idea before I call in the guys from the dealer. Thanks

Diesel exhaust smell

Hey all, been comparing the small Kubotas and JDs, like the 739 which is gas… curious if anyone has thoughts on how much smell the exhaust of the kubota GRs or BXs is, we have someone in the house who gets sick from the smell of it. Main use is lawn, snow and trail work. Thanks!

B2601 with BH70 OPC Switch

OPC has the white lever (circled) under seat. When I raise the seat up to turn, and white lever is up completely, the 10A fuse blows. Is the OPC bad?

Analysis paralysis between LX and L

I've had a BX2680 for a year now, and it's been great, but my needs have recently changed in a few important ways, and I will need a bigger tractor. We're on ten acres, most of it open field that's been hayed by a neighboring farmer for years in a no cash barter. He's fine continuing the arrangement, so I got the BX mainly to cut and maintain a few paths around the field, general maintenance around the house, and snowplowing a half a mile of gravel driveway. BX with front blower, versa box, and 48 inch rotary cutter was fine for all that. A bit bumpy cutting the paths, but plenty of power for heavy snow, and the cutters made it through some thick stuff. Absolutely loved the front blower and the maneuverability and thought that would be it.

Now we've decided to change the 10 acres from hay field to native meadow grasses and wildflowers. At least most of it. We're doing a three year cycle of buckwheat and winter clover to clear the weeds without chemicals or tilling, and the farmer has agreed to drill seed for a fee. I will have to cut the field down before he drill seeds or pay him again to do that, and then I'll have to cut the buckwheat down again after flowering, and again before planting the clover for the winter. Same thing next year, and then once we plant all the natives, it will end up pretty thick and require brush hogging at 6-8 inches once a year for a while. Much as I love the little BX, I know this will all be too much for it.

First throught of going with an LX2620 or LX3320 because cab and front blower. But that stupid front blower is more than $8K, and the LX's are at the bottom end of what's required to brush hog ten acres of thick meadow. My friendly AI assistant says to go with a L3902 with either a 5' or 6' brush hog (though 6' could get bogged down in thick natives over the LX. But then there's the snow clearing issue. The 3902 is also big enough that I could rent a drill seeder and avoid paying the farmer altogether. He charges around $100/hr for his services on his professional equipment, but I'd still have to pay him to rent a seeder.

So I'm thinking of foregoing the blower altogether and getting a snow pusher instead for the 3902. Could always add a rear blower if I really need to, and even a third party cab to the 3902.

What choice would you make between more comfort and snow blowing with the LX, or being able to handle the 10 acres more efficiently with the 3902.

Upgrade from 1272 to 2072

A while back we got an MX4800 and a Landpride 1272 with it. I hit a stump with it a few years later and the shaft below the gearbox sheared off. (You had ONE JOB shear bolt?!?!?)
We replaced the gearbox and everything was fine for another 5 years. Now the A-Frame support is separating from the mowing deck (the metal is broken off on one side and cracking on the other.)
We're looking at replacing it, but since I seem to be tough on these things, should I look at moving up to the 2072 medium duty one? I'm a bit hesitant because it comes with the slip clutch rather than shear bolt, and I've heard that can rust closed. Does anyone have experience with that?
The idea of the slip clutch seems great, but I have heard stories. Our tractor is stored in a Texas pole barn: open sides, but under a roof, so it does not get rained on but does get some moisture blown onto it. The online articles make it seem pretty straightforward for maintenance- loosen the bolts on the springs and run it through brush until it slips once a year, then re-tighten the bolts? Is that all there is to it?

T2380 oil change

Hey all. I am trying to change my own oil on a t2380. I’ve only done a handful in my life and not on a lawn mower. I got to imagine the concept is the same. Before I unbolt something I regret is the picture the drain plug? That’s what it looks like from the manual but I see it’s threaded on the engine side too. Or the pipe that I think the plug is screwed into. Is this right or am I about to make a mistake?

Thanks for any guidance.

ZG23 Deck hight

Does anyone know how to set the cutting hight of a Kobota ZG23 mower? It has a knob on front of the seat that I assume is the hight control but it won’t turn.

Thanks

L48 Advice

Hey all, so I’ve been wanting a L48 for a while. I really could use a backhoe around the property. I will be using this as a general tractor as well. 2200hrs. He’s asking $15k. Most L48’s around me that I’ve seen are 20k+. It concerns me that it doesn’t have the correct backhoe attachment. The one that is on it is quite a bit smaller.

Couple of questions,
1-could this lift a round bale?
2- does the Backhoe not being the BT1100 (correct backhoe) concern you? I think this one says it’s a 9MD2.
3- Anything I should know about these?

I appreciate any input.

L3901 with 3400 Hours - Is $14,000 too much?

Looking for a compact to handle clearing trail in the woods. Found someone selling a 2016 L3901 with 3400 hours on it. They are asking $14k. It includes an LA524 loader.

Thoughts on asking price?

Kubota T2290 Cleveland Ohio

I have the opportunity to purchase a T2290 48" deck lawn tractor with the Kawasaki 21.5 engine today for $3,000. Has 90 hours on it and only 3 years old. What do you guys think about this deal?

An older gentleman owned it before passing away hence the low hours. It does have grass on the tires in the photos, so perhaps it did not have the best maintenance record and I already know it needs a tune up, however my understanding is that these Kubotas are built tough and should last a very long time.

I have no knowledge of the Hydrogear G370 transmissions that are in these either and their track records. Any unique features about these tractors that you know would be appreciated.

Grey engine oil filter on a 3500 hr machine

Is there any explanation other than no one replaced this filter since it came from the factory? It was a pain to remove but it was also in a difficult spot which could have been part of the difficulty. The machine was an RTV X100C. The filter was grey matching the engine block which as far as I know means it was the original. No markings on it and the grey paint chipped off during removal from the tool I ended up using.

Just crazy to think it was the original.

What the F did I do?

Big Yikes

First time using the brush hog on my bx23s and after hearing a godawful sound this piece got spit out. It normally lives above the PTO attachment point. Tractor was delivered with the brush hog on so I trust the 3 point hitch was attached correctly, however since then I had taken it off to install the backhoe on it for a while before reattaching the 3 point hitch last week. That went fine and getting it on the brush hog today went smoothly. And I didn't adjust the threaded rod fittings on the 3 point hitch since it was delivered.

What the heck did I do to cause this mess?

The ground is pretty bumpy where I was working, could that have caused it?

Or did I have it at too sharp an angle relative to the ground?

Not a great feeling seeing a part labeled "TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH Keep PTO shield in place at all times" crumpled up like clay. I'm going to talk to the dealer about this tomorrow but curious if others have seen this before and can advise me on what the heck I did wrong.

BX2200 leak by rear left wheel

Is this difficult to fix or should I get a mechanic? This was the highest spot with oil in it and I followed it back from where the oil was dripping underneath to get me to this area. Don't know if it is leaking from the threads or if a gasket at this little manifold failed.

The machine is new to me so not sure if I caused this somehow but found it after using my grading box. The wide hook the holds the grading box arms to the machine kept slipping off so it may have put too much pressure on the hydraulic arms while grading, not sure though.

Steering vibration

Kubota m5n-091 steering problem. Once throttled up at pto speeds, the steering wheel makes an awful voice and vibrates a lot. When moving the wheel you can hear the vibration in it. Anyone know what this is and if it’s an issue?

Kubota LX2610, first Brush Hog run: EARLY this year.

I usually dont have to mow until June but this year has been insane. We got no snow this year and the winter was warm, mild and dry. I'm in the supposed "wet" pacific Northwest yet I have been mowing my main lawn with my Kubota Z421 since January. The bugs are insane this year and my fields are already 6 foot tall in places with grass so I had to bust out the Kubota early this year and do my mowing'.

The going was slow, some of the thickest grass I have seen in over 5 years now.
