Please tell me I need to get parts for a phone for cheap

I've been looking for an iPod 5th gen 30gb on eBay and Facebook Marketplace, and all I've seen them priced at $100 or more. The cheapest I saw was at $70. My max budget for it is $45. I don't care if the screen is cracked or if the battery is cooked; I'll fix it myself. I always wanted an iPod 5th gen, and I need help finding a cheap one for Canada.
