Fellow defense attorney running a solo practice. Most of my clients have completely messed up, and I'm left picking up the pieces. Considering the facts of most of my case, I would say I'm pretty damn good at getting favorable outcomes for clients. However, clients seem to not be as appreciative of this. How are we defense attorneys getting more reviews when our clients are complete no gooders.

I wish I was in personal injury handing out checks. If this a common issue for defense attorneys who also have a Google business profile? Would love some advice.

I work with clients, as defense counsel, who usually have smaller purses to litigate with. My mentality is to file every motion I can, for a chance the court rules in my favor, even when the likelihood of success is low.

I'm not talking about a 1% chance, and my arguments have merit, but think more like 20%.

If this somehow unethical to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks? Or is just how defense counsel rolls.

I see it similar to gambling. You can't win if you don't sit down at the table; so I try to get to the table as much as possible.

Howdy! I'm a Newbie in the world of experts. For those that regularly have to hire medical experts, how does one approach this? And what is a respectable/professional way of going about it, so I don't look like a goon.

Hello, looking for some guidance and determination of whether opening an appellate practice is worth it. I opened up my own firm last year and have had success doing state side admin law. I'd like to expand, and I'm thinking of an appellate practice as a cool niche. Does anyone else do this? I was mainly thinking state court. If so, how did you build the practice? And, what do you charge for something like this?

I launch Q3 last year and I'm sitting around 38-40 clients now. I have been operating off an excel spreadsheet. I'm thinking about getting a management software and would like some suggestions that are not too expensive. I try to run a fairly lean shop. Also my clients are not all "high touch."

Am a crazy for not having this already? Or, do you think I can manage for a little while longer. I do feel like the system I have right now works just fine...so IDK. Thoughts?
