First Time Ko - Steak at Home

Rain and flood everywhere. Cooked steak at home using Prime USDA steak that a friend from Bacchus (in Rockwell) gave to me, olive oil, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper. Turned out okay.

First Time Marathon at 60 Years Old

I’m turning 60 this year and decided to run a marathon in October to check off a bucket list item. I’m a casual runner but never run any kind of race.

When I told a friend that I want to try to run a marathon, he gladly gave up his Chicago Marathon spot to me (he’s run this marathon for about 20 years straight).

I’m using Nike’s 18-week plan to train. It is quite a struggle specially the end of week long runs but I’m getting better. Didn’t help that I had to go to France for work but managed to sneak in a few runs. Any tips for training, marathon day, diet, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
