What’s one league bowling mistake you made for way too long?
Been bowling league for a few years now and lately I’ve been thinking about how many things I probably did wrong without even realizing it.
For me, one of the big ones was making an adjustment because I thought the lane was changing, when really I was just missing my target. I’d move a couple boards, throw it again, get a weird result, and then spend the next few frames chasing the reaction around.
Looking back, I probably wasted a lot of games trying to “fix” the lane when I should’ve just settled down and made a better shot.
Curious what everyone else’s version of this was. What’s something you did for years in league that you eventually realized was hurting your average? Doesn’t have to be anything major—could be a small habit or something you just completely misunderstood.
