The Prince and Princess of Wales enjoyed a secret rendezvous with Taylor Swift and her fiance Travis Kelce to plan a football-themed podcast episode.
Prince William starred on Kelceβs podcast on Friday, just hours before the NFL player was expected to marry Swift at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The Prince recently suggested that he was βhopingβ for an invitation.
Kensington Palace would not be drawn on whether it ever landed on his doormat in Windsor, but confirmed that the Prince and Princess were in London this weekend and did not plan to attend.
The American couple previously met the Prince in June 2024, when he took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to watch Swift perform at Wembley. Before the gig they posed for a selfie with Swift and Kelce, all beaming from ear to ear.
But while the Waleses were unable to attend theirΒ star-studded wedding, the lavish ceremony was almost certainly discussed when the foursome met in London just a few weeks ago. Although the exact date has not been revealed, Swift and Kelce were known to be in the UK on May 7.
The billionaire singer and three-time Super Bowl champion were spotted at the Harold Pinter theatre in the West End, where they watched Sadie Sink star in a new production of Romeo and Juliet, and enjoyed a meal at Gordon Ramseyβs Lucky Cat restaurant.
But they managed to give everyone the slip when they met up with the Prince and Princess. It was during that meeting, at an undisclosed location, that Kelce persuaded the heir to the throne to appear on his podcast, New Heights.
Prince William spent 20 minutes chatting all things football with the Kansas City Chiefs athlete and his brother Jason Kelce, who retired from the NFL in 2024.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people in this country hear the words no one wants to hear. What follows is a path that tests every part of who we are: physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. The challenges ripple outwards, touching families, friendships, work and the quiet moments we spend alone with our thoughts.

Cancer doesnβt just affect the body. It changes how you think and feel and profoundly affects every aspect of life. I know this personally, and that the journey through and beyond treatment requires more than medicine alone.
Β
I have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge, not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back. The Royal Marsden is a place that holds great meaning for me and whose care and expertise are life changing for so many people.
Β
Through this challenge, I want to raise awareness for the deeper impact of serious illness and the importance of holistic healthcare. Every individual is different, and ensuring there is a whole person approach to care enables those living through cancer to manage the deeply personal challenge of diagnosis. Holistic therapies complement clinical pathways and support patientsβ ability to maintain their wellbeing, resilience and quality of life during an exceptionally difficult time.Β Β
Β
We have an opportunity to reshape what the future of holistic cancer care looks like, enabling more people, nationwide, to access the kind of personalised support that can help make a meaningful difference during and after medical treatment.
Β
This challenge will support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, helping to transform access to, and understanding of, holistic care that will enhance recovery and healing for patients across the UK.
Β
Healing, whether personal or collective, is not just about fixing what is wrong. It is about finding balance in how we live. Between effort and acceptance, between control and trust, between thinking and simply being. Because in the end, bravery isnβt just about pushing forward. It is about knowing how to stay grounded, connected and present, no matter the terrain, or landscape you are walking through.
Β
Together, we can stand alongside everyone navigating life with cancer, ensuring no one faces this disease feeling unseen or unsupported.
Β
Please know you are not alone.

The Sussexes, who live in California, will spend five days in the U.K., from July 7 to July 11, according to the spokesperson.
"No visit to this place was ever easy, but this oneβ¦ twenty-fifth anniversary,β Prince Harry wrote. βAnd Megβs first time. At long last, I was bringing the girl of my dreams home to meet mum."
βWe hesitated, hugging, and then I went first. I placed flowers on the grave. Meg gave me a moment, and I spoke to my mother in my head, told her I missed her, asked her for guidance and clarity," he continued. "Feeling that Meg might also want a moment, I went around the hedge, scanned the pond. When I came back, Meg was kneeling, eyes shut, palms against the stone."
"I asked, as we walked back to the boat, what sheβd prayed for,β Prince Harry added. βClarity, she said. And guidance."
Japanβs imperial family, which has long maintained a male-only lineage for emperors, is running out of royals. Now the country has a plan to help revitalize its dwindling ranks: Recruit more men.
Japanβs legislature, hoping to avoid a succession crisis, moved forward with a proposal this past week to allow the imperial family to adopt scores of distant male relatives. That could give Japan more choices for future emperors β only men are allowed to ascend the Chrysanthemum Throne β and help ensure the survival of the worldβs oldest monarchy.
The plan has angered some Japanese officials, commentators and activists, who say there is an easier solution: allowing women to reign as emperor, an idea embraced by a broad swath of the public, according to polls.
