Mini career fairs as a marketing strategy

Hello,

We are hosting mini career fairs every Tuesday of this month as a lead magnet for our app and we were wondering if this was an effective marketing strategy. Wite Collar is an app which consists of an online skills-building platform for adult learners to get matched with industry experts to receive business/career guidance. Our mini career fairs are only 30 mins total but sometimes we feel like it's pulling teeth to get people to participate. Our current strategy is to invite members from our newsletter, texting, and app community to join, posting about the event on all our social media, and we also have the registration for the event on Luma here: https://luma.com/4cxzjs8t. We have tried posting on Eventbrite but that was largely unsuccessful in getting registrants. What other things do you suggest?

What is the best marketing strategy for getting more users for your app?

We are not making as much headway with growing the community on our app and would like some guidance on how to grow our userbase. Our app is a subscription based service with a membership for $129 because our mentors get paid for offering the service of mentorship.
