I said no more Hobbry Puzzles. And I meant it until this one, and then I saw the tuxedo cat under the pink towel/blanket. It reminded me of a pic I took of my tuxedo girl who loves hiding under blankets. P.S. Third pic is not a Hobbry cat.

I feel like this is the perfect Fall/Halloween themed puzzle.
Magnolia Puzzles are always a pleasure to do for their quality and unique images. This one was really fun, and it looks difficult but the print quality and colors helped guide me.
This is another small puzzle company that promotes real artists. I got this one plus Laura El's other puzzle on their website - A Perfect Evening. Quality and cut of the pieces are very reminiscent of the New York Puzzle Co. Minimal puzzle dust, very nice print quality that made this puzzle easier to do than it looks. Also a random cut on the pieces, which I love. Lots of beautiful details too, so just a pleasure all around to do.
My family loves the show and it was my birthday, so someone found two Widow's Bay tees they knew I'd love. I wanted to share them with this community.

So first let me start by saying one of my favorite puzzles of all time and a favorite puzzle artist are both from Sunsout Puzzles. Side note, the only reason I don't buy more Sunsout puzzles is I'm picky about my images / themes plus they take up alot of space I don't have. But what I do buy or get gifted I've loved 100 percent and will keep to redo, which is rare for me.
So last year a family member gifted me a puzzle from Sunsout. No problem, new artist I'd never heard of before - John Stewart. But hey his work is beautiful, there's a horse and a little girl and fireworks across a lake they're watching, so what's not to love. My first clue something is wrong however is the piece quality is awful. Like whole pieces not cut properly to the point I'm not even going to try and fix it, pieces bent, plastic sensation - not the quality I remember. I think maybe it's a bad batch or they switched manufacturers, it happens. So I carry on, complete the puzzle, love the image. But something seems a bit off. So I go to look up the artist and see what else he's done.
And can't find a website or any information about him. Hmm, that's weird. And then I notice a lot of his themes kind of riff off another favorite artist of mine who has a website, is a verifiable artist, and has been doing it for work. My spidey senses are tingling at that point. Then I find an earlier thread in this sub about him and the use of AI. And I have to agree after looking at his "work" with other puzzles. So now I'm beyond bummed. My experience is ruined and my disappointment is immense as they say.
Do better Sunsout. If you're going to do AI puzzles stop pretending they're made by real artists. And no, I support digital artists and graphic designers plenty, but a few prompts into a machine to get an image is not art or an artist. And if you're going to cut quality then cut prices too. I'm keeping my older quality Sunsout puzzles, but I'm afraid Sunsout is added to my no longer buy list.
Also I hate that I now have to research puzzles before I buy or do them just to avoid this type of scenario. Rant over.
I cannot begin to express how much I love the quality of Chuffed Puzzles. From the artists to the boxes to all of the extras like cloth pouch, beautiful box design, piece quality, small post card of the image that folds into a small stand on the back this is a company that pours their heart and soul into every puzzle they do. These aren't puzzles I'm willing to part with any time soon.
This was a wonderful puzzle to do - so many cool details. My photos don't begin to capture everything. I've only captured a few here, but I am now so enamored with Andre Sanchez's work and purchased several more of this series plus a smaller one from the Heye's Take a Trip series.
This is my first Ravensburger puzzle. I enjoyed it, but the glossy finish and darker puzzle pieces than the box made this one hard to do with the lighting in my room, even with my little lamp. However the price point and artwork cannot be beat and there were no false fits. The blue backing felt strange at first, but it's creates a really soft and pleasing tactile experience. I will definitely do more.
This is a small puzzle company that appears to be fairly new. Bridgetown Puzzles has a no AI pledge and uses real artists for their puzzles. The quality is also nice - some minimal puzzle dust, velvet feeling pieces, a mat finish, nice fit neither too tight or loose. My photos don't do this one justice plus cute ghosts and a sense of humor? Sign me up. I also have their Rocky Mountain Wildflowers and hope they continue to grow so I can get more from them!
Life's been a bit hectic lately, so I've found myself gravitating to lower count puzzles with lots of bright colors and clear details. I have a bunch of Jiggy puzzles and other 250 to 500 piece count puzzles I've gathered over the years and lately those have been the ones I find myself reaching for. Eventually I'll get to that stack of 1,000 to 1,500 puzzles, but for now this keeps me happy. Added bonus, I love this artist's work.
I did twin Hobbry puzzles over the weekend. I chose both of these puzzles since they were similar themes of flower shops and dogs - two things I love.
I really enjoy Hobbry puzzles because they're fun, bright colors and easy to put together. Added bonus - this puzzle brand is known to be extremely tight on fit and hard to get apart, but I found out a faster way to take them apart. I put my hands under the puzzle and gently shake it with a slight up and down motion until it starts to break apart into smaller sections. Then I can take and easily pop the pieces in a straight down motion into the box or bag motion, rinse and repeat. Results may vary and it take some trial and error, but for me anyways it helped tremendously on the most tedious part of doing a puzzle.
