My Credit Card Dispute On a Hotel Was Cancelled Because I Checked In
I was staying at the Hotel Amari in San Francisco for a week a couple months ago and on the second day of the week long stay I went to use the bathroom and raw sewage flooded my entire hotel room. The hotel refused to move my room or give me a refund or written refusal of a refund so I launched a dispute with Capital One.
A few months later, Capital One requested a response letter from me because the hotel told them the lie that I stayed the entire time and was completely happy with my stay. In my response I provided everything that Capital One requested and I have now just received a letter saying they aren't going through with my request because I didn't provide all the info they asked for.
I called them and explained how I did provide all the info they asked for and their final response was since I had "used" the hotel room they are unable to follow through with the dispute and that I can contact their general correspondence.
My question is, how is it possible to know that a hotel room is faulty without having used or seen the hotel room. Do you all have any tips for how I can make my case towards the general correspondence office because it seems they've got me in a catch 22 sort of situation here.
Thanks!
