I'll start by saying im non-practicing, but still believe in forces beyond ourselves, which is why this question is probably real ignorant...

I also dont usually post, so sorry if im missing some kind of reddit etiquette or whatever.

I want to get a tattoo of the symbol of Beelzebub, as a symbol of my struggles with over-indulgence, and to celebrate how far I've come with it.

I guess my question is, if i do this, is my intent enough? Would i be upsetting Beelzebub? Is this disrespectful to those who follow them or practice with them?

It's just something I'd like to consider before just doing it. I could Alternatively just get the cool fly associated with them, but it feels less intimate somehow.
