Tattoo Choker Necklace - para lang brown nylon na nakabraid. Mura lang ito kaya daming girls ang nagsuot.

Butterfly Clips - ang alam ko, si Jolina nagpauso nito sa Pinas and ito talaga ang silat na accessory nung 90s sa girls.

Sandals with Socks - nasa US yung Aunt ko before and nagpapadala ng colorful socks na Fruit of the Loom brand. So I felt I’m a little “extra” kasi mostly, others wear black gray and white socks

Guitar String Bracelets - the more, the better. Binili ko pa yung sa akin sa Anonymous store sa Glorietta.

Colorful Nails - marami akong nail polish (isang puno ng Damish cookies canister) na pinag iipunan ko ang pambili. I color my nails according to the occassion or holidays and put designs like stripes, hearts, different colors. Weekly, bagong kulay qt inaabangan ng classmates ko. Kaya madilaw ang nails ko noon. Influence din ito ni Jolina haha

I remember these TV commercials noon: McDonald’s Paboritong Apo, PLDT’s Suportahan Ta Ka and Hello Billy at Perla’s Wais na Misis. May series pa nga yung iba.

Pero naalala ko din yun jingles ng Seiko Wallet, United American Tiki-Tiki at Mr. Clean Labadami Labango sa radyo.

I saw some videos about this “theory” that older people tend to wear their bags crossbody, while younger people wear them on one shoulder.

Nagpunta kaming perya mga 7 years old ako. Naglaro ako nitong beto-beto. Na-amaze lang ako at naengganyo kasi nanalo ako. Then in the end, natalo lahat yung bigay na pera sa akin. Napagalitan ako ng lola pag-uwi at sabi may daya daw yun. 😅

Well at least sa murang edad pa lang, alam ko nang walang magandang maidudulot ang sugal. 😁

Napakahilig ko sa music. I’ll brag na I can guess a song under 10 notes. I follow this music professor (yata) na mahilig magpahula ng old songs and madalas tama ang sagot ko. Or kapag may song sa radio, alam ko agad kung ano. Limited lang syempre sa mga gusto kong songs.

Pero yung mga kanta, walang hilig sa akin. Usually ang song choices ko sa karaoke yung mababa lang at puro hinga hahaha!

Naisip ko lang kanina na mag-inquire ng vocal lessons and itutuloy ko na! Magstart ako by end of this month. Medyo mahal pero pwede ko naman kasi ipareimburse sa work kasi part ng benefits namin yung sa fees sa skills.

Goal ko lang naman ay pang karaoke lang na level.

Share ko lang naman. We shouldn’t stop learning new things kahit 40s na tayo.

Whenever I see a restaurant on reels or someone recommends a place, I immediately save it to a Google Maps list called “Food!”.

Originally, it was just my way of keeping track of restaurants I wanted to try. But later, it became useful whenever I’m traveling or just exploring an area. Instead of rushing to search for a place to eat, I simply open my list and check what’s nearby that I’ve already saved. No more “San tayo kakain?” panic moments.

I actually shared this hack with my table during GEB because it’s a simple thing to do but has been helpful for me.

Aside from restaurants, I also create Google Maps lists for my trips. I have lists like “Hanoi Day 1” and “Sa Pa Day 3” where I’ve already saved the places I plan to visit. I find this useful as some destination names can be difficult to type. I usually DIY my trips and rely on public transpo, having everything saved in one place makes it easier to get around. I can just open the list and check instead of searching from scratch every time. Google Maps is free, so I try to make the most out of it.

Does anyone else do something similar, or do you have your own system for keeping track of restaurants you want to try or places you want to visit?

Took this quick weekend trip last October with my friend of 26 years. Exhausting but so much fun and absolutely worth it.
