Do you think he’s reading The Hobbit or Fellowship of the ring? Also, advice needed.

I have been doing watercolors of my friend’s/coworker’s pets. This was my 5th attempt in which I finally decided to do eyes shut because I just couldn’t get cat eyes right. The next one has to have open eyes. So, if anybody has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated.
The picture above is also still a work in progress. Thank you!!

I’ve somehow ended up in the biz of painting my coworker’s pets. Looking for advice on how to improve.

I am looking for any tips or constructive critiques on how to improve as I don’t know what I am doing.

I started using ink and watercolors a couple of years ago. I know a little on color theory but very little outside of that. I shared some of my work with my coworkers and now it has turned into me painting their pets. These are literally my first animals. I enjoy my somewhat wonky/cartoonish lines but would love to get better with the actual paint and building more depth/dimension.

These two guys above go together for a bathroom. (Yes, Dexter was blind). 💕

How do you guys dull your colors?

Looking for constructive criticism and tips! I feel my colors are too bright here. Ink and watercolor.
