Lots of police cars from different departments heading somewhere on Petrovisky. I mean, a lot of cars. Anyone know what's going on?

Location: Washington state

The place I'm staying had some trees trimmed Friday. One of the branches they cut down had a sparrow nest in it with young birds (I don't know how old but still being fed by parents). I'm not physically able to do anything about it so I called this place's management and told them what had happened and the fact almost are birds apparently protected, including sparrows. The person I spoke with said they would put cones around it and call animal control for next steps.

Today (Sunday) the branches are gone. I talked to the same person from management and they said they told engineering to put up cones. The person from management called animal control and left a message. Apparently the landscaper came in and took the branches sometime between Friday and today. I looked and the nest was not put in the tree. The parents are hopping around chirping.

Who do I reach out to about this? I'm aware it's too late for these birds but I don't want it to happen again. I'm a bit perturbed because it seems like the landscaper should have been aware of the law about bird nests but ignored it. Suggestions? Thanks.

Let's say you were new to synthesizers but wanted to get into it. Somehow along the way, you ended up in possession of a Roland JDXi. As a newbie, what's the go to? Keep it and learn on it? Trade it for something else? Keep it and learn on something else and come back to this thing when I have a clue?

What is the synth I should be looking at if I trade or get as a starter around the same level (four sounds, whatever else this does that I don't understand)?
