Strange Egg-Like Things on Water Lettuce

Strange Egg-Like Things on Water Lettuce

This morning I discovered these odd egg-like things on the side of a large water lettuce in my tank. So far I've not been able to identify them, so decided to ask Reddit.
They don't seem to look like snail eggs, so I don't think it's from the snails.

For additional context, the tank is 240L, and is about 8 weeks old. The water lettuce plants have been in the tank for about 2 weeks or so?
The current inhabitants are a small number of Cherry Shrimp, various snails (mostly what appear to be Bladder Snails and Ramshorn Snails) and I occasionally spot copepods skittering about.
(I don't really use Reddit, so apologies if the format is off or this isn't the right place.)
