So what exactly do we want Melee engagements to look like?

Ok since this is a topic lately, and I'm honestly getting confused by the posts (is your clip showing how good the current melee is? Or how busted it is?) , please describe in detail how melee should play out? Preferably in detail and taking into account various weapon and gadget combos.

In my opinion, everything is generally ok now except for light dash breaking sword lunge and backstabbing through people at ridiculous speeds.

For all the other weapons, I generally have to scream into the mic "DON'T go in that room! They have a hammer / flamethrower/ shield user that will kill us! Blow up the walls and SHOOT them!" And if we get caught, they deserve to beat us.

But for dashing lights, I feel like I have to tailor my entire build to stop them. Certain guns are just too inconsistent, certain gadgets are useless, etc.

I would prefer NOT to hear about skill issue, and instead prefer to hear about how you imagine these engagements playing out. What can Embark improve, change, fix, or embrace what is working well already?

Thank you! I love The Finals, I think this is the best fps ever made and just has a few rough edges to be sanded down
