Flew on 7/21 from Las Vegas to Providence, RI, or at least tried to. Landed in Charlotte for my layover, and after sitting on the plane for 90 minutes, they had us de-board to see if the weather in Providence would improve, 2 hours after that, they cancelled the flight. After 3 hours in line to get to customer service, the best they could do was get me on a flight on Thursday ( 2 days later ), with no guarantee that they’d even get me to my destination airport ( possible end up in Boston ),no food or hotel vouchers offered. I opted to rent a car and drive so that I wouldn’t lose 2 days out of my 5 days off. When I contact Customer service, should I be pushing for any compensation over what the value of the flight from charlotte to providence? Or is that basically what I’m going to be offered?
