So I lived through the typical bullshit “homeschool” experience with abusive parents and escaped them as soon as I turned 18. I technically was enrolled in some courses in an online high school through my state, but not a full course load. I did not receive a diploma and have simply stated on resumes my whole life that I graduated from that online high school.

This has worked for me fine through countless jobs, now I’m 30 and my new job is insisting on my diploma. I already started and have been working a few weeks, but I’m worried they’ll fire me if I tell them I don’t have it.

Has anyone else dealt with this situation?
