After 600+ Hours, I just can’t deal with this matchmaking system.

This weekend of cryo was abysmal. My brain thought, if I bring in good gear, maybe it will match me with people who also have good gear and are competent. I lost almost all of my vault because bringing in golds almost always results in two blue team mates or even sometimes someone bringing in a green shield.

I also thought, well if I keep losing, at some point the game will put some decent people on my team. When in reality it would put someone 40 levels below me and 100 levels above me as my team mates. So I was half right on this one.

The amount of times I would have people with no mic and literally were sitting in spawn 5+ minutes into the run was too much to deal with.

I’m good, but I can’t carry my whole team. This game was made for people who have friends they can rely on and I just don’t have that. It’s not fun to lose every match.

I love the way this game feels when I play it, but I’m getting too tilted never being able to exfil anymore unless I’m playing solo.

Removing sponsored survival was a huge mistake. Lowering the loot drops from Outpost red room and prestige lock boxes removed any incentive to play that map or upper complex.

This game has potential, but right now it is not in a good place. I’ll be back when vault breakers comes out. But I guess I just need a break. Bungie, please fix the matchmaking. It sucks for us solo players.

Can someone explain this to me?

30% of the people who own the game on steam haven't even played for the first 10 minutes? Am I reading this correctly?

Have I got a story for you!

So I played an outpost free kit solo fill run today which went a little strangely. Spawn at Dorms and grab the red key on the roof. I hear another team nearby, so I stick with one of my team mates. We head down over by the part that's covered in the tarp and I down a guy just standing outside. I heal up and start to work on the warden since its right near there. Almost kill the boss and another runner pushes me. My team mate and I down him and then the boss goes down.

I loot the boss and then get downed by another player. My team mates kill the third guy, but don't rez me. They start looting the bags and let me turn into a bag. They then proceed to loot my bag! They take all my stuff and then are walking around a bit and eventually decide to get me up. I'm left with a white vault thrower, a green shield they left on one of the bodies, and three depleted shield kits.

By this point another team has opened up pinwheel. I go searching for red keys on my own for a moment, and while I'm checking the one far pier key my team mate calls me a retard and that we should head toward pinwheel since its already open. After I see the key is already gone I go and follow them up.

They're crouching in so I run by them and up to the second floor for a height advantage. They don't follow me and I get pushed by the team already there. I know this death is my fault so I figure this is probably the end of the run. My team mates push around and down one guy. Then one of my team mates goes down. The last guy on my team kills one and then falls back a bit and starts yelling slurs at the other team. He ends up killing the last guy. He gets up his buddy and they leave me in a bag until they've looted everything. At this point I go ahead and report them for griefing and block them.

They get me back up and they open the red key room. While they're killing the bots I run in invis and loot the strongboxes. Two gold greenhouse keys! We exfil and they're none the wiser that because they treated me poorly they missed out the best loot I've ever seen. This picture is the loot I got from a solo night marsh run going in with the gold key and nothing else.
