After ~82 Hours, I am Champion. Here are some thoughts on my experience.
I really really like White Fox. But now that she is at Champion, I wanted to reflect a little on how she feels to me.
White Fox feels like a character who shouldn't solo heal, but is an amazing second strategist. Works well as a bit of a bodyguard for the other Strategist hero on your team.
While in recent updates her anti-dive capabilities have been reduced, she still is pretty good at it. Admittedly I have to take engagements a lot more cautiously, but with proper timings in switching between melee and ranged mode, she can win (most) 1v1s still.
Using her melee mode's tail smack or dash to knock someone off of the capture point is a useful thing to know.'
Her ultimate forme I have found now to actually be very very strong, in the correct scenarios. I've found it is weaker when I tried to use her ultimate to try and solo a team - but when I use it similar to Mantis, as a way to boost my team in a close quarters team brawl. The healing from her stomps can keep the team up for quite a while, so any allied Punisher or The Hood (for example) can easily gun down the enemies who would be a threat to you in your ult forme.
Another thing I have found with her ultimate, is that you need to make sure you have at maximum 10 seconds left on your teleport before you activate it- so if you find yourself too deep in enemy lines when it runs out, the teleport should be off cooldown and you can get out easily.
As for characters I find difficulty fighting against as her (experiences may vary, if you have any tips on how to win some duels I have difficulty with speak up and help a fan out)
Scarlet Witch is probably the biggest challenge in a 1v1. Her primary fire + backpedaling can both keep her out of melee range and out damage Fox's ranged attacks.
Daredevil (and to a lesser extent Iron Fist) has a similar challenge as Scarlet Witch, but in the opposite direction. The relentless assault can outperform the melee mode, and he can deflect your attacks if you try to out range him.
Deadpool and Spiderman can be a challenge because they bounce around like tictacs on a train, just very hard to hit.
But in your ultimate forme, the challenge is entirely in if the enemy has characters that can force you to stop or attacking - Rogue's grab, Luna's snowball, Scarlet's Stun Orb... That's what ends the ultimate early the most. You get stunned, enemies gun you down, you die.
But that's for the most part what tricks I have picked up over these 82 hours. Here's to the next 30ish hours to get the Legendary White Fox Title.
