I'm at a loss...
My dog is 13, pretty good healthwise with a few exceptions. His back legs/hips have almost no muscle mass left, and he has developed these itchy crusty spots on his back and he's started panting really heavy at night. The Vet gave him antibiotics and a medicated soap that I have to use once a week. The antibiotics helped the spots and the soap helps the itching, but they always come back. On the weekend he could barely get up, was trembling, and avoided everyone. We brought him home assuming it was time to make that hard call but now he's hopping up, bouncing around etc. he still has the itchy spots, and his legs do seem a bit wobbly still...I don't know what to do
EDIT: I have given him supplements and anti-inflammatory drugs and they help temporarily. I just don't think it's fair to have to keep him constantly medicated so I have more time with him.
