Pit Barrel noob! Grease fire in PBJ, advice appreciated

Hey all, I recently upgraded to a PBJ after having smoked on an electric Masterbuilt for a couple of years.

My first two cooks (pork butt and St. Louis ribs) were fantastic. Today I did a rack of beef back ribs. Notable that they were pretty fatty under the membrane but I was aggressive about trimming after I pulled it off.

Usual set up with Kingsford blue and a chunk of hickory. All was normal, I didn't even crack the lid for the first 2 hours. I'd been peeking out the window at it every 20 minutes or so. At the 2 hour mark I looked out there and had huge white billowing clouds of smoke.

Long story short of course there was a fire. I got the ribs out and choked down everything by stuffing foil into all the vents. The ribs may be toast, but I threw them in the oven and we'll see.

Any thoughts on ways to avoid this going forward? It doesn't seem like this is common.

30+ year old Tollens' silver mirror is somewhere in my home, if it's made it this long is it safe indefinitely?

So back in high school, I did the Tollens' silver mirror experiment in a test tube in chem class. I distinctly remember being told it was dangerous (I cannot remember if this referred to during the experiment and/or afterwards).

We were definitely not supposed to take them home but I did. And I hung on to it. It moved with me through college, grad school, internship, postdoc and several moves over the course of my career.

Every now and then I come across the box it's in and it continues to look the same as it always did. I think the last time I saw it was maybe a decade ago? For some reason tonight it randomly entered my head that it could be dangerous to have around indefinitely.

Google searching hasn't really been able to give me an answer about the risks of a 30+ year old silver mirror. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.

Feeling completely at the end of my rope

I've had my dog Frito since 2019. He was adopted from the local shelter and came to us with heartworm, other parasites, and was severely underweight. It seemed clear he'd been on the street for a while. They estimated his age to be between 3-4.

We got all of that treated. He initially seemed surprisingly well-behaved, we didn't know quite what to expect. He was (and still is) perfectly housetrained, and knows sit. He knows stay also, but it's more of a challenge for him to execute that one. He's a very lovable little dude and just seemed mostly happy go lucky.

It became evident that he had some anxiety around storms and the period of time leading up to storms, but generally this was not too bad and seemed fairly manageable with an occasional Benadryl.

I will spare all the details but his behavior has gotten significantly worse over time. He now is extraordinarily reactive and will lunge and bark aggressively at anything moving during our walks. Joggers, strollers, bicycles, cars. Even some walkers.

His behavior during and leading up to storms has become unsafe. He will pace and pant incessantly, jump/climb up on and then jump down from high dangerous places, has gotten himself stuck under the bed, has gotten his head stuck under the armrest of a chair. He has also eaten non food items - a shawl, curtains, door frames. Crating was a complete disaster, he was able to shift the crate across the floor by throwing his weight, destroyed the plastic liner on the bottom, and chewed on the crate enough to cause his mouth to bleed.

He is prescribed 20 mg of fluoxetine a day and takes gabapentin PRN. I don't know how much these are helping but I suspect he would be even worse without them. Recently his behavior has escalated even more, when I have tried to take actions to keep him safe he has snapped at me multiple times.

I currently live alone and am at the point where I am actually unable to leave my home for any period of time if there is even a hint of rain in the forecast for fear he cannot be safe, and I am in a very rainy geographic area. I can no longer take vacations because I cannot board him, nor can I have a pet sitter come to the home intermittently due to the potential for rain while he's alone.

I have been making these changes to my lifestyle to accommodate him for a while now, and if it were simply just that I could potentially continue. However it is clear to me that he is pretty miserable a lot of the time. I'm clear that this is all fear-based, and it breaks my heart to see this happening to him.

I have had a trainer come and really made no progress, I have another one (very highly regarded) coming this weekend and I am praying they may have something to offer, but I am open to other thoughts and suggestions.

Found on a dating profile. I think the fire looks to close to the water, and the mud splatter on the Jeep seems a little too perfect?

It seems as though the fire may be too large to have been intentionally placed that close to the water. The pattern of the mud splatter on the Jeep also seems too perfectly placed.

Edited to add - thank you all! I knew it was wrong, I just didn't realize how wrong lol. This guy's whole profile is ridiculous and the fact that this is so bad just puts it all over the top!

I was hired fully remote several years ago, left a position with hybrid telework in part due to my health issues. The facility I work for is not in my geographic location.

Before this administration took office, I was in the middle of planning to downsize and move to another geographic area. Once the RTO mandate came out, of course I chose to put all of that on hold.

I also requested an RA to remain fully telework, which to be fair given my health issues I should have done from the jump despite being hired fully remote. Live and learn.

My request was recently approved, and I would like to resume my plans to move. Can anyone weigh in on whether I should be clear to resume my plans to do that?
