As a stutter in the US
hi everyone :))) , I m a medical student completing my medical degree outside the US and planning to become a doctor specifically in Los Angels . Honestly, I stutter a lot , I don’t repeat words but I get blocks in between , my heart rate goes up to 120 , I feel dizziness when I have to speak in front of the class or in any seminar , I m trying to slow down my speaking pace of words (as recommended by a great guy from Reddit) but still I m kinda stressed that whether I will be able to become a good doctor in the US and whether the patients and other people will have the patience to understand me . I am even scared about whether I will be able to get residency programmes in the US. Therefore I would like to know how r stutterers treated generally in the US also in the medical field (not to spread hate toward any country , just wanna get an idea ) PLSS SOMEONE HELP!!!
