Trying to get the name of a period drama that I believe was set in turn of the century Ireland.

It starts with a servant woman working for a supervisor of a shipyard. The servant and her employer fall in love and plan to get married (?), but the supervisor/employer is killed by an angry worker who swings a big metal hook at his head.

I've tried to Google it and AI it to no avail.

Help would be much appreciated!
