We adopted our kitten about 2 months ago - he started off fine and within a week of being home he started scratching his eyes / nose.

We instantly took him to the vet and they gave him an ointment to treat his eyes. That didn’t work. Then we took him back a week later and received a topical cream, they also did tests for fungus / ringworm etc.

Still scratching heaps, he ended up being quite crusty under the chin and around the eyes. Eventually they re-treated him with mite / flea medication. With the application of anti-septic cream and cortisone, this seemed to clear it up enough for his fur to grow back and was doing better.

But since then, his paws have now lost fur from over grooming / chewing them AND he’s now very itchy around his eyes again. Mainly in the morning and at night.

Can someone please advise us what we can do? The vet seemed to have ran out of options, recommended a dermatologist or diet plan to work out if it’s an allergy. We vacuum and clean the house regularly, as we suspected it might be a new environment issue, but time has passed and we don’t know what else to do.

I’ve attached photos in order of when we got him - just wondering if anyone has gone through something similar and how they cleared it up? Has anyone done an allergy test? Is anti histamine an option? It has gotten much better than when he was at his worst - but we are scared it might get back to that point. We feel so bad for our little guy. Any help would be appreciated!
