Cost of renovating a two-up two-down house

Has anybody renovated a two-up two-down terraced house recently?

I've been offered the chance to buy a relative's house. I'm quite sentimentally attached to it and I'd love to buy it and live there, but it needs a lot of work.

It's a typical Victorian two-up two-down. It was renovated in the 1980s, so it has a flat-roofed bathroom extension at the back, which is the only major improvement. It was rewired back then and had an oil boiler installed at some point too.

As far as I can tell, it needs a full rewire, conversion from oil to gas, new windows, loft insulation, a new kitchen and a new bathroom. It'll probably also need damp issues addressed along with some replacement joists and floorboards.

Has anyone done a similar renovation recently? If so, roughly what did it cost?

I'd also love to build over the downstairs bathroom to add a third bedroom upstairs, but I don't even need a quote to know that's probably well beyond my budget.

Things to revise for the Staff Officer assessments?

I've done the practice questions but would really like to do more before taking the official tests. Are there certain areas that I could read up on? Other tests I could practice?

Or obvs the questions would be great too.
