SPOUSE VISA PRIORITY APPROVED
UK Spouse Visa Timeline (Priority) – Pakistan 🇵🇰➡️🇬🇧
Thought I’d share our timeline as these posts helped me massively during waiting period.
• Visa Type: UK Spouse Visa
• Priority Service: Yes (£500 extra)
• Solicitor: No (self-prepared application)
• Biometrics Location: Mirpur, Pakistan
Email Received 15th May
Timeline: • Application Submitted: 15 April 2026
• Biometrics Done: 20 April 2026
• Passport Returned: Same day after biometrics
• ECO Email Received: 28 April 2026
(“Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer”)
• Paid Enquiry Sent: Week 4
• Successful Decision Received: Same day after paid enquiry 15 May
Some useful things for others: • We uploaded documents ourselves through VFS
• Priority does NOT mean instant decision
• No additional documents were requested
• No interview request
• Silence for weeks is normal
• Duplicate upload of employment letter was not an issue
• Passport was returned same day because application is now eVisa route
Tip: • If you have priority and haven’t heard anything after around 3–4 weeks from biometrics, try sending a paid enquiry (£2.74).
• I noticed a pattern on Reddit where people often received updates shortly after doing this, and same happened in my case.
• For standard applications, maybe try after around 8 weeks if you still haven’t heard anything.
Hidden costs: • Mirpur biometric location cost around £150 extra.
• TB test, IELTS and passport renewal also add up quickly.
Documents we uploaded: • 6 months payslips + bank statements
• Employment letter + contract
• Sponsor passport
• Applicant current + old passport (full copies)
• TB certificate
• IELTS certificate
• Marriage certificate + certified translation
• WhatsApp chats + wedding photos
• Property inspection report
• HM Land Registry + title plan
• Parents permission letter for accommodation
I am more than happy to answer any questions, folder structure I used to organise my files before submitting.
