People who have taken this for a long time- opinions needed.

This is regarding my wife, I recently discovered she is back on it after maybe 1 - 1.5 year break. Prior to that she’s been mostly on it for 10+ years. She’s prescribed 75mg a day which seems awfully high to me. She’s not terribly overweight but at times has put on 30-50lbs I’d say. Also times she’s been pretty thin due to the drug. Refuses to exercise or make the necessary dietary and lifestyle changes. Granted exercise on this stuff is really bad news due the effect on HR and body load and the half life is extremely long.

Long story short she doesn’t know that I know she’s back on it currently and I’m documenting things moving forward as we’re having issues. Also of concern to me but not her is she’s prescribed 1.5mg Xanax daily and takes whenever she feels like it and also hiding alcohol so we’ve got a few different things going on.

I’ve taken it in the past as well as stronger stims so I know exactly what it is & does. I also quit drinking 4.5 years ago so I’m well versed in that as well.

How is she getting a doctor to continually prescribe this for over a decade? Any other long term users here who can help shed some light on this situation or advice. Confronting right now is not what I’m looking to do. Things are going to come out in time. I’m well versed in recovery and different substances but more concerned about the day to day and long term effects. I don’t understand how some quack doctor can just keep giving her this.

Or should I not be that concerned?

I just PR’d an annual half marathon I’ve run 9 times now, in high humidity which was a limiter.

Also PR’d previously in November in horrendous winds & had a 10k/quarter marathon PR about a month ago.

While rehabbing an abdominal/groin strain.

I’ve run a lot of miles & been running a long time & the last 15 months since I discovered phenylpiracetam have been a game changer for me.

I’m also in my early 40’s for context so I’m naturally losing ability & fitness and thought my PR days may be over.

If you need something for workouts or exercise performance this stuff is amazing.

Have a great Sunday!
