K1 Alternatives / Recommendations
I dumped my MVP bag in Fall 2024 and have been experimenting with other brands (Discraft, Millennium, Gateway) but my favorite so far has been Kastaplast due to the K1 Plastic. I'm carrying the Alva and Lots. I have not liked their other molds, but the plastic is so perfect.
I've tried just about every mold in the Discraft line-up and I have liked the ESP Zone SS, Zone, and Malita. My general finding is Discraft drivers are all stiff and have a sharpness to the rim that is ripping my fingers to shreds. They are very uncomfortable for me to throw.
So I'm looking for some recommendations on Brand / Mold / Plastic for K1-like discs. My typical rig is pretty simple. When I threw MVP, it was N Atom, N Entropy, N Matrix, Pr Matrix, N Tesla, Pr Wave, F Wave. I like to be in the 166-168 range for most discs although my current Alvas are 171.
