How to know how much to add to this sewing pattern?

**this is the muslin/toile**

I'm working on a simple PJs set (McCalls M8056). I'll be using similar fabric and weight (thrifted sheets). I accidentally ordered the smaller size, thinking the pattern was all-inclusive 🤦‍♀️ I cut a size 16 (waist size, also largest size on the pattern), but according to my hip measurements, I need a size 22. Ive been reading on pattern grading and have read that it becomes difficult going up more than 2 sizes.

I'm wondering if i can just add an inch or two to the sides/hips alone and leave the crotch as-is? Will that affect the overall fit? I have plenty of fabric to mess around with a couple more toiles - although I'd rather not have to make another 😆

Looking for alt route suggestions.

I was supposed to do the Natchez Trace, USA this fall. I heard the bridge on the Nashville side has been closed for renovations, but decided to keep on with my plans and detour.

Then I heard another 20+ mile section will be closed for the remainder of the year - Jeff Busby campground and area.

With those two significant closures, I'm probably going to decide to push the trip to 2027 so I can feel like I got the "whole" experience.

Ive been looking at other routes and am looking for some opinions on the following:

- KATY trail (240 miles, Missouri)

- GAP trail (150 miles, Pennsylvania)

- C&O trail (180 miles, DC > Maryland)

- Ohio to Eerie (320 miles, Ohio)

Miles and road riding dont matter, as the trace is longer than any of these routes ane all road. Just looking to see if anyone has done these before. My group and I would be self supported and interested in camping as much of the way as possible. Thanks!

I missed my photo opp at the podium this weekend, can someone put me at #1?

Last weekend I competed in a triathlon. There was some confusion with timing and place, so I left early thinking I'd only gotten 6th place. It turns out I got first in my age group and category and didnt realize until after I got home. I'm really upset I missed out on the podium 😭 I tried to do it myself but the way I'm standing doesnt really match up with the other podium girlies.

I dont care about the hat or the mug, but holding the first place certificate would be great - if that's even possible.

Willing to pay $10 for the photo! Please no AI 🥲
