1 lb of beef = 14,000 AI prompts. Why are we outraged about data centers instead of animal ag?

Instead of treating fellow citizens with suspicion because of how they practice their faith, our political system should reflect the core American ideal of true religious freedom. If we value liberty, that principle has to extend to everyone, regardless of whether they pray in a church, a synagogue, a mosque, or nowhere at all. It is time to move past manufactured panic.
It is striking how much common ground exists between conservative religious values and traditional Muslim beliefs such as family structures, respect for tradition, and faith-based community ethics. Yet, so much of the political rhetoric focuses on fear and division rather than shared principles.
Will fear-mongering around Islam factor into the midterms and beyond? Does that strategy still work? I would like to think we have moved past this kind of identity politics (which the right accuses the left of exploiting while using the exact same tactics), but I am constantly amaze and exasperate by our current political landscape.
Very troublesome key parts of their platform. Does support these?
Abolishing the U.S. Senate to establish a single, unicameral legislature based on proportional representation and expanded House seats.
Replacing the President and the Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary that are directly chosen by and subordinate to Congress, rather than operating as independent, co-equal branches of government.
Bit of history reminds us that
The core philosophical shift in the DSA platform—moving from a system of separated, co-equal powers to absolute legislative supremacy—mirrors the constitutional mechanics adopted during the radical phase of the French Revolution.
It is ironic how quickly the favorite slogan "facts don't care about your feelings" disappears the moment verified facts clash with a preferred political narrative.
Case in point: federal prosecutors literally filed court documents confirming that the Reflecting Pool damage was caused by a rushed, botched installation by contractors—not a coordinated plot by vandals. Yet instead of accepting official findings from his own Justice Department, Trump publicly blasted his own U.S. Attorney for letting real-world evidence get in the way of a good story. When court filings, contractor logs, and physical inspections aren't enough to displace a narrative, it shows just how thoroughly political theater has replaced basic reality.
This dynamic poses the central question for a post-Trump era: can the political center hold when the two poles inhabit entirely different factual universes?
Why is the tragic death of Nolan Wells being framed as a racially motivated incident when there is zero evidence of wrongdoing?
By all accounts, the boys involved were friends and appear happy together in photos. Meanwhile, fake "analyses" of the 911 call are circulating online, creating outrage where the facts don't support it. It is frustrating to watch this young man's death being weaponized to push a specific political agenda before the investigation has even concluded.
For context on where things currently stand:
Official Autopsy & Investigation: The Mississippi State Medical Examiner has completed the official autopsy. The findings will not be released publicly yet; instead, they are being submitted directly to a Jackson County grand jury alongside the rest of the investigative evidence. District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath confirmed that presenting death investigations to a grand jury prior to releasing public findings is standard operating procedure for her office.
Civil rights attorney Ben Crump stated that his legal team is conducting an independent investigation. Forensic audio specialists are currently analyzing the complete July 4th Sea Tow emergency call, while ocean engineering experts evaluate how Wells’ body was recovered near the northwestern tip of Horn Island.
Until there is evidence of wrongdoing, why assume there is solely based on race?
How very odd that a democrat is afraid to her own party state convention. What's going on? Are we really entering an age antisemitism in the US? How will this affect the midterms. Is the new surge in the DSA inherently antisemitic (

“I will speak as a member of the Democratic Party here in Michigan, that some things have changed,” Nessel said. “This cannot continue, and the fact of the matter is, we have to be able to be a society where we can have intelligent discourse and debate about ideas without people being threatened, and certainly without people carrying out those threats.”
Countered by Derrick Honeyman, a spokesperson for the Michigan Democratic Party said in response to Nessel’s comments that the party is committed to “ensuring party-hosted events are safe and secure environments for all attendees.”
