For some context: I’ve been searching for an apartment and found one for a great deal in my area and also allows large dogs. Many apartments will not allow dogs over 75lbs and my dog struggles with hypothyroidism so she is on the larger side.

With that being said, I just found out the apartment building has an in building smoker. Hallway smells of cigarette smoke. Are there any ways to combat this? There’s no non-smoking policy, I’m just worried about getting second hand smoke, smelling like cigarettes, or most importantly, my dog being affected by it. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? This is the only spot I’ve found that is allowing large dogs so I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done. Should I even move here??
