New Toolbox (For Me)
Score!
I’ve been looking for an additional tool cart for a while and today I pulled the trigger on this 7-drawer Snap-on on Facebook Marketplace. Paid $700 and I’m pretty damn happy with it.

Just picked up a new U.S. General 5-drawer tool cart on Fathers Day and figured I’d share it here since I’m pretty excited about it.
This is my first real tool cart, and I’ve been wanting to get organized for a while instead of constantly misplacing tools around the garage and house. It’s nothing crazy, but it already feels like a big upgrade just having everything in one place and actually mobile.
Kind of a cool full-circle moment for me too, my grandfather was always a Snap-on red guy. I spent a lot of time as a kid hanging around his body shop, just watching him work and handing him tools when I could. Seeing a proper rolling cart like this honestly takes me back to those days a bit.
Looking forward to filling it up slowly and getting a lot of use out of it for home projects. Nothing professional, just trying to stay more organized and actually enjoy working on stuff instead of hunting for what I need every five minutes.
If anyone has setup tips or organization ideas for a first cart, I’m all ears.
I felt like sharing this project. This old Remline tool chest from the ’60s belonged to my great uncle. After he passed away, I was going through some of his belongings and came across it.
I completely disassembled it, cleaned everything with warm water and Dawn, then used WD-40 and some ultra-fine sandpaper to carefully remove the surface rust. After wiping it all down again, I applied a protective wax and greased all the drawer slides. Now everything opens and closes like it did decades ago.
It’s not perfect, but I wanted to preserve its history instead of making it look brand new.
Scroll all the way to the end to see what it looked like when I first found it.
