When you think of the strongest animals, you may say lion, tiger, shark, anaconda, or alligator. But these animals are very weak compared to the rulers of the past, the dinosaurs. Physical strength is relative to the era. When you pick an animal, you can find another one that can beat it.

What about inner strength? Butterflies are the strongest of all animals, and they reflect the philosophy of Libra, as well as the perception of Libra by others. To transform into something magnificent, a caterpillar breaks its body and rebuilds it. I can't think a lion can do this and survive! So much pain and endurance! Yet, most of the people think of this symbolism as a transformation into something beautiful. It is a superficial and wrong interpretation. Caterpillar desires to explore, ascend, fly, and escape from 2-dimensional motion to 3-dimensional freedom. It compromises its lifespan, breaks its body to get wings, to see the higher. As Scorpios have depths, we Libras have highs! How much curiosity and bravery does this take! Yes, bravery! Desire to explore even if this costs their lives, breaks them completely. And how much strength! After complete ruin, it builds itself from zero. But, everybody thinks about how colorful the wings a butterfly has after it transformed and endured the traumatic pain for beauty. Seeing the purpose of this transformation as reaching beauty instead of enlightenment is just a shallow interpretation. People miss the real meaning of this, as most of the other signs miss the real strength of Libra. We are so misunderstood. Sometimes we are called superficial, but actually, the ones who call us superficial are superficial; they see our colors, they can't comprehend our purpose, endurance, wisdom, and philosophy. They think we are weak, because we don't bite, well, we just break every bone in our body and soul to ascend, but sure, let them enjoy in their 2-dimensional mind.

Most water signs generalize air signs as not emotional, etc., but Libra is very different from Aquarius and Gemini. Libra is related to Venus, the planet of love and connection, not just the mental level. Libra touches hearts, unlike Gemini. Aquas run away from emotions. Geminis are actually superficial and look for fun, but Libras aren’t like that.

There is something like a Libra mind that I’ve observed in myself and my other Libra friends. We care too much, and that is why we expect things, not selfish things, but ethical principles that we expect our loved ones to obey as we do, like Batman. Then, when we are disappointed, we may detach, but it doesn’t come from being emotionless like Aquas. It comes from anger, care, and a justice response. This is actually caused by the search for deep and true connections, not superficial ones. Calling Libras superficial is itself a superficial thought, made without investigating the Libra mind.

This justice response is our worst thing, and I’m glad that our worst characteristic is this, while Cancer and Pisces are at the top of the serial killer rankings and still claim they are the most empathetic signs. They tend to kill because they are emotional. I think astrology today is very water-oriented, far away from objectivity, and living in a delusional world like water.

Also, Libra weighs every emotion inside. He doesn’t reflect these things, but he doesn’t run away like Aquarius. We may say, “Hey, let’s not fight today,” but it is not running away. We do that not to hurt others. It is not because we are afraid of getting hurt. That is the biggest mistake other signs believe about Libra. In that moment, Libra can also fight, but he stops the fight even when he feels stronger. It is not weakness or being nonconfrontational; it is being the bigger man and having ethical values. We don’t fight when we can. Actually, Libra fights when the opponent is scary. Even if Libra is scared, he pushes himself to fight for his values. This is true bravery.

But everyone sees the kind things Libra does as cowardice. I guess people who lack integrity do that; they just don’t understand why a person would choose not to hurt. When we think about making others happy, we are called people pleasers. By the way, if you know how to please people, you also know how to make them sad and destroy them, but we choose not to. When a Libra chooses the dark path, he can be more dangerous than any Scorpio. We have a very chaotic side, but our inner strength overcomes this. Nobody sees this war inside.

So, saying “you are not fat” to a fat person is received as a lie by low-EQ people, I guess. I don’t even want to discuss this. And a scale can’t weigh something if it runs away from that thing. It doesn’t make sense. Libra senses. It is the only measurement tool in the zodiac. Even when we are being kind and say, “Hey, let’s calm down,” we don’t forget or push away the emotions or topics. Actually, we keep considering them, trying to understand who is right instead of saying, “Hey, I’m always right.”

But again, when you say “I’m always right,” you are considered a good and probably deep person by the astrology community. But when you consider all possibilities deeply, you are superficial? Trying to decide who is right, even when you are also in the situation and have to judge yourself, requires a lot of confrontation, trying to see how you might be wrong, etc.

Since we are egalitarians and humanists, we are against physical violence, but that doesn’t mean we are bad at defending ourselves and our loved ones. Also, that is why we don’t like to attack, even though we have the power to dominate. Nobody expects it since we are kind, but let them see us when we are defending. Even though we choose the nonphysical way, we like to continue until we finish and get a result from an argument. We see it as something to be analyzed and judged in the end.

Justice isn’t weak. It requires abstract thinking, and it is related to philosophy through ethics. We are the higher justice. Also, our networking is sincere, not just chatting like Gemini. We have lots of grudges and insecurities, though, and that makes us real humans, not dolls who travel from art gallery to art gallery looking only for beautiful things and having no other characteristics, as the astrology community believes.

Our networking is beyond humans. It is also with nature and spirits. Libra is the sign of connections, but all water signs are scared to see that Libra is able to connect with spirits too. The Saturn side of it gives a sight beyond time. We are very confronting, sensitive, emotionally intelligent beings. Libra has both emotional and logical sides, unlike Cancer or Aquarius, which only has one of the two. Aphrodite was born in the water, but we are also the justice warrior Themis.

Fish run away, and I believe Babylonians chose symbols to match characteristics. Scorpio is sneaky. Libra is justice. He can see what is right or wrong even when others can’t, when the situation is very complex. And this requires reading people like a book, a high level of empathy, even telepathy, which water signs can’t even comprehend. The only problem is that we want to be good and idealistic, and we don’t want to harm, so we don’t use our insight to harm others, while they use their low-IQ minds to hurt every time. So sometimes they win, but that cheap victory isn’t a sign that we lack something and they have more. It means we have more, like integrity.

The only lesson I learned as a Libra is that sometimes I need to be more flexible, selfish, confident, and nonconfrontational. Everything bad happened because I refused to run away and chose to fight. I didn’t hesitate to get hurt, but I always stopped the fight not to hurt others. If you try to be good while some idiot has no integrity, it is not a fair fight. I was always fair to others because of my high empathy. Yes, Pisces, empathy makes people not hurt others or makes them want others to be happy. It doesn’t make you kill them. That is probably a shocker for you. But I ignored myself.

Our problem is not courage, intelligence, or emotion. I believe it is self-respect. When you don’t have it, nobody sees the real you. They believe water lies.

Don’t forget, Libra is the second sign in the Nobel laureate rankings. Yet when people ask for the three most intelligent signs, Libra is not in their lists. This happens to Libra only. We are air, and air is intellect. It is like making a list of the bravest signs and not putting fire signs in it, or making a list of emotional signs and not putting water signs in it. But this doesn’t happen to them. They are always included in their respective lists. It happens to Libra only.

And since Nobel Prize rankings say the opposite of what the astrology community believes about Libra, we can see that they are highly biased against us even on a very basic topic. Think about what other topics they might be biased about us on.

Aquarius and Capricorn are actually at the bottom in the Nobel rankings. Capricorn, etc., excels in life because when you are rude, you treat others badly and spread fear and respect. We are monkeys after all, very hierarchical. Most signs have their success or “strong” label because of their attitude, not their real strength or intellect. We Libras seem naive and weak because of our kind attitudes, even though we are very strong, smart, morally steady people. Also, we are very cautious.
