A different medium. My "other than oil" collection

While still incomplete, I've come to a pause point on this project. I've installed lights and turned the nice wood cabinet into a more appropriate for glass white interior using matt board as one would use in framing. Now I'm ready to share some of my glass with you.

In this cabinet you'll see Steuben, Frederick Carder Steuben, Italian Murano, Hawkes Cut Glass, Erwin Eisch art glass and a few pieces I've made (i hope this doesn't violate the rules, as this has nothing to do with self promotion, only trying to share my glass art collection).

I've shared a few close ups of selected pieces so you can appreciate the detail, as much as it may be possible without seeing it in person. I've also included a few different setups along with a before image in it's original wood finish. I suspect I'll never be done playing with different setups and will continue to rotate the pieces which have captivated me most recently.

What do you think of the art glass? Does anyone else collect glass art? How about the display cabinet, which display and background finish do you prefer? Thanks for allowing me to share my "other than oil" art with you! I hope this post can spur a wider field of art mediums on this sub in the future, as I don't discriminate against any art forms and would like to see more variety in this sub!
