What’s actually the best vocal remover you’ve used so far?

I’ve tried 3–4 AI vocal removers recently, and the results were pretty different depending on the song.

So far, unMix gave me some of the better results, while UVR was also really good when I played around with different models.

But I’m curious what others are getting better results with.

What’s your go-to vocal remover right now?

I compared a few AI vocal remover tools on the same track. One thing surprised me.

I've been trying to get a really clean instrumental from the same song, so instead of relying on one tool, I ran the exact same WAV file through a few different vocal remover tools.

For example:

. UVR gave me really clean vocals but left a few artifacts in the instrumental.

. Moises was fast and consistent.

. unMix produces one of the cleaner instrumentals on this particular track.

A couple of others worked well on vocals but struggled with layered synths.

It made me realize that the song itself matters just as much as the model behind the tool.

Has anyone else compared multiple AI vocal remover tools on the same song? Which one consistently gives you the cleanest instrumentals?

What's the best vocal remover you've used that doesn't destroy the instrumental?

I've been testing a few vocal remover tools recently for creating karaoke tracks and remix practice.

Some AI tools do a surprisingly good job, while others leave noticeable artifacts or make the instrumental sound thin.

I'm mainly looking for:

. Clean vocal removal

. Good instrumental quality

. Fast processing

. Works well with pop and rock songs

I've tried a couple already, but I'm curious what everyone here is using these days.

Are you using desktop software like UVR, browser-based tools, or something else?

What's one audio editing task you wish AI actually handled better?

I've been experimenting with different AI audio tools over the past few weeks, and while they're much better than they were a couple of years ago, I still run into situations where they struggle.

For me, the biggest issues are:

. Songs with layered backing vocals

. Live recordings with crowd noise

. Older songs where vocals and instruments blend together

. Cymbals getting mixed into vocal tracks after separation

Some tools do one thing really well, while others are better at something else, but I still haven't found one that consistently handles every type of song.

I'm curious what everyone else runs into.

If you could improve one thing about today's AI audio tools, what would it be?
