the stigma

Why is HSV 2 more stigmatized than HIV? I don’t think neither should be stigmatized but i’ve noticed people are more empathetic to HIV? Is it the mental image of what people think it HSV 2 looks like? The transmission rates?

I don’t disclose

23M I got diagnosed with HSV 2 about five months ago. I take care of my body with clean eating, reducing stress and working out. I am also on anti virals. I don’t see the point in disclosing. Everyone makes disclosing a big deal on here. I have been causal with two women since. I made sure I was not having an outbreak and used a condom. They’re both fine. I don’t see the need in saying something if i’m taking care of myself and have no break outs.
I read some post on here saying their wives/gfs never got it by being with them so I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong as long as I’m taking care of myself.

I am interested in any opposing views? Do you guys think disclosure is necessary?
