does anyone know when Mac releases scholarships that were applied for through award spring (ex the general entrance one that automatically places u as an applicant for several )?

Heyy next year I’m going to McMaster for engineering. I live a 15 minute drive/bus ride from the school and I’m really struggling to decide whether or not to stay on res.
if I do stay on campus, it’s my own money, adding up to about 10-12 k after scholarships including the meal plan. I wouldn’t be in debt but I wouldn’t have money either. however, I want the traditional res experience and to make lots of friends and have the convenience of already living there. Also, since the meal plan is almost half the cost, realistically if I lived at home i would end up spending lots of money on food anyways.

on the other hand, If I live at home I can afford a car so I would be able to drive (plus I would have this car for years to come). I also want space from living with my family and think this experience would allow me to grow.

i may be able to work while at school minimally, however i know eng is a demanding program so I’m not sure.

help!
