Cool damage model in Il2 Korea, shake your gears loose after hydraulic damage

I was flying the MiG15, attacking high flying B29s protected by Sabres on the Parallel 38 Yalu server.

Managed to shoot down a b29 and while damaging another and emptying my ammo I got hit by .50 cals of a Sabre chasing me.

Checking the damage (using the backslash button) it said my gear was damaged and pneumatics or actuator or something was heavily damaged, okay, no problem. Dove away and flew back to home base.

On landing approach it turns out my airbrake, flaps and gear deployment didn't work because of the hydraulic damage.

The gear deployed half way then jammed. I could hear it being deployed a little more when I manoeuvred. I tried hitting the keybind for emergency gear release but it didn't do anything (maybe the Mig doesn't have this).

Then I figured IRL you'd probably try to pull Gs with your gear out to let gravity wrench it out. So I started rolling back and forth hard and I could hear the landing gear being pulled out little by little each swing. It worked! I kept doing it until I couldn't hear anything happening anymore.

I ended up landing with only my nose gear collapsing while rolling on the ground after braking. Pretty cool!

IL2 Korea VR performance reports?

I can't find good sources for this.

Can people playing with VR report back here with their experience and hardware?

I've got a Pimax Dream on order and I'm looking to play the game with a 4090, 9800x3d and 32 gigs ram.
