Help & Tips: Just been Diagnosed with PR

I got a rash on my groin area Sunday last week - it has since got worse and spread to which I’ve now been told by the doctor that it’s PR. I’m obviously a bit upset as from what I’ve seen there’s nothing I can really do. All I know is that mine looks a bit different to what I’ve seen online - everyone’s seems to be full bodied but mine is just near my bra area, a little on my stomach but mainly my grain and pubic bone area.
A GP looked at the picture I sent and texted back within 5 mins saying there’s nothing that can be done and it’ll go when it goes. Not very helpful at all.
Is there anything advice anyone here can give?
I also have a wax booked in 10 days time that’s a full Hollywood because I’m going on Holliday and going to a festival. Should I not get waxed? what should I do - I tend to avoid shaving because I get awful shaving rash and waxing has been a god send :/
