About to begin...
Finally got all the pieces I need to do a Gen MTTM to WD1863 switch. Only thing I'm concerned about right now is getting the pushers down. Best option I think I have is a low-powered Dremmel with a sanding attachment. Mark 1mm on the pusher, sand it down, test fit.
Only other option I have is a pair of diag cutters, but my small ones are cheap, and my nice ones are huge, so I don't think I'd get a good cut if I tried.
UPDATE #1: OK, word of wisdom that I needed? Crown pulled out to the first position and then push the release. I almost drilled a bigger hole to accomdate this.
UPDATE #2: Crystal removal is proving to be the most challenging. Right now I'm using a box cutter with a fresh blade to cut away the case to get under the crystal so I can pry it off. Challenge is, it seems I'm just scraping the crystal and not getting under it entirely.
UPDATE #3: Got the crystal off. By far, most stressful and challenging. I essentially used the box cutter to chip away at the case to get to the edge/bottom of the crystal, then used the blade to get under the crystal and start to separate the glue/adhesive. After many minutes of moving around, finally was able to pop the crystal off. Next up, filing the pushers. Plan is to use a Dremmel and sand bit to remove a mm of the pushers. I'm going to mark the pusher with a sharpie so I know how much to remove.
