Unable to login, no support provided. Fk mark zuckerburg
If you dont like long rants, just scroll. If you dont mind them, then pl read and provide any help if you can!
Day 1:
I have had a fb account for 14+ years now. I have not opened it for the last 4-5 years. Recently i found my profile on google when i typed my name and decided its time to login and delete it!!! So i logged in. I forgot my password (obviously, its been like 7 years or something since i reset it) so i went through the OTP option, which brought me to the homepage directly instead of giving me a reset password page. I went to the meta accounts center to delete my account, and my password was required for that. So i went to the change password section, and i get an error there, something in the lines of “you are logging in from an location you dont normally use, can not reset password for security reasons, use your account for a few days to change the password”. That message was fine by me, since logging in from a new place after many years without a password is suspicious.
I thought its just a matter of few days, so why not scroll the bullshit our Mark Zuckerberg is feeding the masses, just 5 mins a day until i unlock the option to change the password and delete the account for good. It worked, for a day.
Day 2:
I login as usual, session is active in my laptop, scroll for a minute or 2 and checked the status of change password again. Still does not work. So i close it.
Day 3:
Asked me to login this time. I have to use the OTP option only, so I clicked forgot password, typed in the phone number and get the message "this page isnt available at the moment". I tried multiple times, from various browsers, incognito, by turning on vpn etc. But everywhere I see the same message. I tried from my phone too, with/without vpn, switching browsers etc. I am getting this message consistently. I also tried with my account alias (fb.com/myalias) and email ID. After giving the input, I immediately see the error screen.
Day 4:
Same issue.
Day 16 (today):
Same issue.
--------------------
Note: I know and have access to both my recovery email and mobile number tied to my FB account (confirmed in the accounts center page on the first day).
--------------------
I do not know the reason behind this, atleast I have not done anything wrong from my side. I am a technical person, so I know this is not just any error. I have been blacklisted by Meta in this manner: Account identifier on the endpoint /login/identify. I might have been blacklisted on other endpoints as well, or maybe all the endpoints that are tied to auth.
So now I do not have an account, I look for support. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT SYSTEM for unauthorized users (not logged in) in Meta, except some documentation and the world's dumbest piece of shit, Meta AI.
I went through the documentation to a good extent.
From the page about help regarding Unlocking your account, I figured my account is NOT LOCKED because I did not receive any email or intimation about my account getting locked.
From the page about help regarding Disabled/Suspended accounts, I figured my account is neither disabled nor suspended, or 1. My account should not be visible to public 2. I will get an appeal screen upon login. Neither is true.
So I need more help, I use Meta AI. This bitch is looping on the most useless advice pattern possible. AI is helpful to some extent beyond which it is anything but helpful. I spend around an hour with Meta AI, explaining the issue but received no resolution. Although I request "connect me with a live agent" multiple times, it is just replying with the saammmmeeeeeee doc links which i have already read, and the saaaammmmeeee recovery procedure which I have tried 100 times. In fact, in my case there is no chance of recovery, I get errored out after giving the recovery page my phone/email/alias. It doesnt go futher than that. I also requested for a support email address to which I can send an email regarding the issue from my registered email address, prove my legitimacy and get the account back. Guess what? THEY DONT HAVE A SUPPORT EMAIL!!! It does not exist? So finally I got this tip from Meta AI saying if I can get logged in from another account, I could get a chance to talk to a live agent. So I did. I wanted to delete the account, now I created another one for this!
Now I am authorized, and there is still no support except some documentation and AI. This time when I asked Meta AI to connect me with a live agent, it says it can not connect me to a live agent for login/recovery issues. Then the same story continues, giving me useless links and procedures which I have already tried. So there was another option, "Report a problem" which I tried. I specified the issue there and 2 days later the issue does not even exist in the inbox?!?!. So I realized Meta does not have a support system in the first place. Their only frontline is Meta AI and some docs, and there is no one behind the frontline, like literally NOTHING. No email, no live agents, no email, no email, no email, no email, no mobile number, no email, no email. I think live agents are only for the business accounts.
Ideally, I would not give a single fuck if I am not allowed to login to facebook. However, my profile is public and visible. Anyone typing my name would see my profile, photos, connections etc. I feel like they took my stuff and kicked me out. I dont care about getting kicked out, but I want my stuff back.
Pl help me, any tips/suggestions are welcome.
PS - What if my intention was to genuinely recover the account and enjoy the platform again? Any which way, placing the complete weight of the responsibility of the diverse roles and operations of a support team of a platform with 3 billion active users on AI alone is not just stupid, but also ignorant. It is not even ignorance, because it is done very intentionally, it is Akrasia, or maybe just spite towards the users. A company having a networth of 1.43 trillion USD going against common sense to save a few more bucks, that is pettiness over quality. Aliens are supposed to be smart. This guy smart in the wrong way. I swear I have run out of (or actually do not know) "meaningful" words to address this person and the organization as a whole.
