Meta employee allegedly abused internal tools on my account. Now I’m blocked from Meta Verified + Support Cases

Hi everyone. I’ve exhausted every official channel. I believe my account is being restricted as retaliation for reporting abuse, and I need help.

Timeline
Unauthorized Access Found: 4 unknown accounts were linked to my Instagram Accounts Center.
Other changes I found:
- Instagram+ subscription was disabled
- Facebook Profile was unlinked and blocked from re-adding
- Advanced Protection was turned OFF. I had it on 2 of my 4 accounts.
- 2FA + selfie protection + 10 year old email + strong password were all active. Login history shows only me. It should be impossible to log in.
Scale: 4 of my OG Instagram accounts were affected. 2M+ followers total.
Reported to Meta: Opened Case and provided evidence.
Went Public: Posted here on Reddit. Post reached Top 1%.
Temporary Fix: For ∼2 days after going public, I could access payment and support again.
Restrictions Returned: Now everything is blocked again.

Current Issues
Cannot purchase Meta Verified: . Tried on 2 accounts, 20+ times. I changed my name to exactly match my government ID and birthday. Still fails. [Screenshot 1]
Blocked from Support Chat: for 24+ hours. [Screenshot 2]
Payment issues: Started at the same time as the unauthorized access.
Account Restrictions: New flags put on my account after I reported this.

For context: I used to get approved for Meta Verified within 1 hour with no issues.

Why I’m concerned
Meta Trust & Safety employees have internal tools that can place flags to block payments, verification, and support access.
The timing is what worries me: restrictions started right after I reported the breach, and got worse after I went public.

I have filed a formal complaint with the EU DSB for potential GDPR violations and data abuse.

What I’m asking
Has anyone else had restrictions placed after reporting internal abuse?
Can Meta please conduct a full audit of Case and confirm in writing that all restrictions/flags have been removed?
Please share this. If internal tools can be misused like this, it can happen to anyone.

Proof: Screenshots attached.

I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for my accounts to be restored to normal and for Meta to confirm that no employee can abuse access like this.

Thank you for reading.

My disabled facebook accounts came back

So I have 2 accounts, one is a dump/buy and sell account and one is my main account. I was selling something in my dump and the moment my buyer was asking if it’s still the same number she would send the money to, my account instantly switch to saying I got disabled and need to verify it with face recognition and later wants me to send an ID to verify also, and I did that and it says I have 180 days to appeal and that they would review it. I opened my main account and I was shocked that it also got disabled and led me to verification, but after the verification I got a screen where saying I can never recover the account because it’s been decided that I broke something in their community guidelines something about account integrity?

fast forward to 2 days later, I already made a new account the same day all my accounts were taken from me because I had to find my buyers and tell them the situation. I was using messenger to chat with people and lo and behold, there were notifications from my main account popping up that there’s messages and I instantly clicked it and it opened.

I opened both of my accounts and there’s a popup in facebook saying they reviewed my account and it does follow the community standards and that they were sorry.

It’s been a day and so far so good I guess? I never knew what I did for them to think I did something or broke something, they were never clear about that. I couldn’t also find someone to report about this all I did is wait.

Do I have a similar experience here? Hope people get their accounts back too, it’s kinda sad and empty creating a new one lol.

GOT IT BACK

So backstory, I have 2 accounts—one personal account with my nickname + last name, while the other is a gaming/alt account with a different name but same initials as my real name. 3 days ago, I found that both accounts got suspended for account integrity when I checked Messenger after waking up from a nap.

I first opened my main account, was asked for photo verification, which I promptly accomplished. A few minutes later, I got the notice that my account was permanently disabled and can no longer be appealed.

Then I tried on my gaming account. This time, it asked me to undergo photo verification, mobile verification, and to submit a valid ID. I initially uploaded an existing photo of my government insurance ID. About 15-30 minutes later, I received an email asking me to re-upload an ID photo not from my media gallery, so I took a photo of my driver’s license and uploaded it.

I thought I had a low chance of recovering my accounts because neither matches the name on my ID, especially my alt account. But today, 3 days later, I got an email saying that the appeal was successful and to my surprise, both accounts were reinstated.

I really wanted my accounts back because my main one had chats from my father who passed a few years ago and I will also need it for the coming school year to coordinate with my son’s teacher, so this is a big relief.

I hardly post anything on both accounts and I mostly use Messenger for video-calls, around 1-2 hours daily. I’m a bit anxious now because I read that some reinstated accounts get disabled again. I now wonder what I can do differently to avoid being flagged again since I don’t even know what caused this in the first place.

How long did you wait for meta verified to verify your info?

It’s been 4 days since it said it will take 48 hours and it’s stuck like this. Normal meta ai support can’t help with that either

Downloaded info?

So I got permanently disabled (for no reason that I could tell except I think I was hacked) a couple of weeks ago and when they did that they gave me the option to download me info...which I did. But when I opened the file it was just my basic profile info and none of my photos etc. Is this correct or am I maybe opening the file wrong?

Instagram took down all four of my accounts without reason? Involve lawyers?

Sounds like this is becoming a more and more common problem for people. But my business instagram account, personal intagram account, business Facebook, and personal Facebook account have all been disabled, and no reason has been given other than "account integrity". I have reached out and made contact (via a meta verified account) with tech support. They not only told me that nothing could be done, but that they couldn't tell me what the violation was because it was locked to them and they could not see what it was. They have also informed me that any account I create on any of my devices, with my phone number or any of my emails, will be flagged immediately. I tested, not using any of those, and still go shut down on a new account for using a slightly similar name. I still have an additional ongoing "hacking" case, which they have not resolved yet. I have also reached out to the district attorney and a legal team (specialized in social media). Do you think it would be helpful or hurtful for me to mention this in my chat? Is it possible they would expedite my case?

Accused and Banned for Child Exploitation

I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE IT CLEAR I HAVE NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY CHILD EXPLOITATION/ENDANGERMENT!!

Hi there, I've recently had my account temporarily and then permantly banned for the excuse of child exploitation... but ive never done that. The only thing I can think of is that I have recently posted a picture of my brother (who is 17) behind what looks like jail bars when we went to an escape room. The picture is in a carousel that clearly displays the name we picked in the escape room and another for the time it took for us to escape and such and so I cant understand why that would be cause to ban especially since I tagged him and had his permission to post it (not that it was anything wrong and he could have left the jail cell anytime he wanted).

Now they've banned all my accounts on Instagram and my connected account on facebook even after my appeal. I got my sister to get meta verified (i tried to do it with a new account not linked to my email or phone number but i need to wait 90 days on a new account) to try and get my account back but the person keeps saying they cant see what the exact reason is I got banned was and theyre unable to overturn the decision of this.

When I try to log in, my account comes as a suggested log in account with the profile picture and everything so I assume my account still exists for now and I dont see why a person cant manually review it. I have even said they can delete the post if its that big of a deal but they wont for some reason.

Is there anything I can do?

Obviously I have not been involved in any child endangerment or exploitation which is why I refuse to just accept this and this is the only reason I can think of this happening to me. Just sucks as ive had this account for probably the best part of 10 years and I spend 2025 trying to finally start posting seriously and using Instagram as a memory bank instead of somewhere to view brainrot.

Any help is really appreciated 🙏🏽

Hey guys, fuck Instagram! We don't fucking need it

Yeah, we got banned, that shit hurts, but guys we can still download our information and talk with the people we love on WhatsApp, if we want to meet new people (digitally speaking) or share thoughts, we can use Reddit.

Instagram is just another social media we have used, it has to end at some point. Do you guys remember Fotolog? MySpace? Windows Live Messenger? Tumblr? Everything has to end, and maybe this is the beginning of the end of Instagram, we were the first ones, that's it.

Too many people here will understand me, do you remember back when you were a kid and your dad or maybe your grandma had an agenda? A small book they used to use to write down phone numbers and addresses. Taking into the account how our privacy is being vulnerable by the IA and Meta, even in our personal conversations now, I think the best for us is actually not being part of their shit.

Bro, fuck Instagram, u wanna meet people? Go to a fucking party in the downtown, you can see Instagram profiles of businesses without being registered, you can see the events by only googling it. Guys, it's time to open ourselves to the world and live as our ancestors lived before this digital crack shit existed.

Wanna watch news or interesting autistic shit you like? You have YouTube and Reddit bro, take it easy, it's just another dumb social media, real friends, the ones you see as family, have your phone number and WhatsApp.

We're actually lucky by this.

AMA - i’ve been helping recover banned accounts for years

never thought this would become a career, but here we are

today a lot of my work is behind the scenes. i rarely advertise because almost everything comes through word of mouth. i’ve worked on cases involving artists and public figures. i can’t really go into specifics for obvious reasons.

years ago a friend lost access to an instagram account he’d built from scratch. support was useless and every appeal got the same automated response. i got curious with figuring out why some cases got reversed while others never moved.

that turned into a weird niche. one person told another, then another. before i knew it i was spending most nights looking at account restrictions instead of doing anything remotely normal.

i’ve seen pretty much every type of ban imaginable. hacked accounts, business managers, ad accounts, disabled creator pages, mistaken impersonation flags, copyright issues, automated enforcement, you name it.

the biggest misconception is that every ban is the same. people see the same disabled screen and assume the same fix applies. in reality there are dozens of different reasons an account gets restricted, and each one needs a completely different approach.

ive also learned when to say no. if someone comes to me because they’ve been hacked through malware, their account was taken over as part of a cybercrime, or there’s evidence of fraud or extortion, i tell them to speak to a lawyer first. that’s no longer just an account recovery issue

it’s a strange corner of the internet to work in. some days are incredibly satisfying, some days you spend hours just telling people their case isn’t realistically fixable.

anyway, figured people might find it interesting :)

Rate Facebook 1-Star

Can we all rate Facebook 1 star in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store? This would help put pressure on them. Their AI sucks. I know it’s not a lot, but it might pressure them to restore our permanently disabled accounts.
