Just observing
I think it’s funny how narratives are more important than facts. I see this throughout the media landscape but for this post I’m talking about the big 3 and rapping. The media coverage on j Cole is always about holding him accountable or gotcha moments on bad bars. I’m seeing the same critic’s engage in drakes music a different way where the cringe bars aren’t discussed, the corny persona isn’t discussed, and just an overall lack of directly discussing his pen in these songs. A little salty but just pointing it out.
Everybody has jus joined on the narrative that he’s the vibes guy which is true but he still should be an emcee and critiqued on his bars which can be very lackluster (I’ve seen individual people point it out but media heads just don’t acknowledge it)
